Category 6 Grand Hyatt Cancun Beach Resort Now Open for Bookings

In 2022, Hyatt announced plans to open a brand-new resort in Cancún, Mexico. After several delays, we have an opening date for the Grand Hyatt Cancun Beach Resort: July 1, 2026.

New Hyatt Resort Coming to Cancún in July

Grand Hyatt Cancun Beach Resort will feature a whopping 500 guest rooms and suites, including 28 with private plunge pools and a Presidential Suite.

Hyatt spared no expense on its upcoming resort: it features a spa, a fitness center, several swimming pools, access to a beach club, and children’s programming.

There will also be no shortage of food and beverage options at the resort, with a whopping 16 options to choose from. These include Japanese, Italian, Mexican, and South American restaurants, a gelato market, a pool bar, and more. There’s also the 19th-floor Grand Hyatt Club lounge, which you can access if you book a room that provides club privileges. 

Grand Hyatt Cancún Beach Resort will be located within Puerto Cancún, a master-planned residential resort community situated between downtown and the Cancún Hotel Zone.

Puerto Cancún features a golf course, a full-service marina, condos, timeshares, single-family homes, a fitness and recreation center, a protected natural reserve, and an open-air shopping mall.

Booking Grand Hyatt Cancun Beach Resort

Reservations for the Grand Hyatt Cancun Beach Resort are now available. The resort will participate in the World of Hyatt program, meaning you’ll be able to earn and redeem points.

For cash rates, standard rooms start at $370 per night, and suites start at around $420 per night.

The resort is a Category 6 property, which means award nights cost 21,000 points per night on off-peak dates, 25,000 points per night on standard dates, and 29,000 points per night on peak dates.

Grand Hyatt Cancun Beach Resort is one of Hyatt’s few non-all-inclusive resorts in Cancun. Most resorts, like the Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya and Secrets Mirabel Cancun Resort & Spa, fall under Hyatt’s separate award chart for all-inclusives.
