There are a lot of unique elements to this new route. Hawaiian Airlines will fly a route that doesn’t touch Hawaii, use a widebody jet to Alaska, and run this service twice daily during the busy summer travel season — with one flight scheduled at an odd time.

Here’s what you should know about the Hawaiian Airlines flights between Seattle and Anchorage for summer 2025.

Hawaiian Airlines A330 To Fly Seattle-Anchorage

For the busy summer travel season, Hawaiian Airlines will fly its Airbus A330 widebody jets between Seattle (SEA) and Anchorage (ANC) from June 12 to August 20, 2025. In fact, it will do so twice a day. The flight times will operate as follows:

  • Depart Seattle at 11:45 a.m. and arrive in Anchorage at 2:30 p.m.
  • Depart Anchorage at 4:10 p.m. and arrive in Seattle at 8:30 p.m.
  • Depart Seattle at 10:10 p.m. and arrive in Anchorage at 12:55 a.m. (+1)
  • Depart Anchorage at 2:55 a.m. and arrive in Seattle at 7:15 a.m.

These flights are scheduled for 3 hours, 45 minutes to Anchorage and 3 hours, 20 minutes on the trip to Seattle. On most turnarounds, there’s roughly 1 hour, 40 minutes on the ground for the crew to prep the plane for the next flight. Hawaiian’s A330 planes can hold 278 passengers.

This comes after Hawaiian Airlines announced new routes to Asia from Seattle and committed to growth in its domestic schedule for 2025. We’re now seeing that with the SEA-ANC linkup.

Bottom Line:

The use of Hawaiian’s widebody jets was a key aspect of the Hawaiian-Alaska Airlines merger. We’re now seeing that idea put into practice, scheduling bigger planes on a key route during the summer travel season to carry additional passengers and freight.

How To Book

To be clear, Hawaiian Airlines isn’t the only carrier planning to operate the SEA-ANC and ANC-SEA flights next summer. Alaska Airlines should operate the route up to 18 times per day during the summer. And Delta Air Lines should fly it 6 times per day.

Interestingly, the flights on the Hawaiian A330 are some of the most expensive flights on this route. While they start at roughly $20 more than other flights on the route for basic economy, you’ll pay about $1,000 more each direction to fly in the front of the plane with Hawaiian than Delta or Alaska — though you’ll also get a better seat.

If you want to book these flights using miles, you can. Unfortunately, Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan isn’t showing the flights operated by Hawaiian Airlines on this route yet — only its own flights, starting at 25,000 miles per person in economy.

However, you can redeem HawaiianMiles for these flights, starting at 20,000 miles per person in economy.

Final Thoughts

Hawaiian Airlines will fly its A330s between Seattle and Anchorage twice per day next summer, becoming the airline’s shortest route using a widebody aircraft. The 1,258-mile flight on the A330 prices higher than what competitors are charging, but the flights can be booked with miles to save money.
