Hilton Honors members are feeling déjà vu as Hilton has raised award prices again, just months after a May 2025 devaluation. Some of the program’s most sought-after hotels now cost up to 250,000 points per night, a level that would have seemed unthinkable just a few years ago.

While some properties remain in a more reasonable range, the latest spike makes luxury redemptions much harder to reach without a huge points balance.

Here’s what you need to know about Hilton’s latest devaluation.

Luxury Property Awards Now Top 250K per Night

For years, Hilton Honors hasn’t published an award chart but relies on dynamic pricing. While this means some flexibility, there has always been an unofficial ceiling for standard rooms. That cap held steady at 150,000 points until May 2025, when Hilton increased its top-tier hotels to 200,000 points. Now, just months later, the cap has climbed another 25% — topping out at 250,000 points per night.

Some of Hilton’s most aspirational properties are now priced at this new, sky-high level. A few examples:

These increases aren’t limited to a handful of properties — they reflect a broader pattern across Hilton’s portfolio. Take the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, which not long ago cost 95,000 points per night. After a recent hike to 140,000, it’s now up to 180,000 points per night.

Hilton does offer a perk where elite members get the fifth night free on award stays of 5 nights or more. That benefit remains useful, but when single nights are priced at a quarter-million points, even a free night on a 5-night stay still impacts the overall cost due to these pricing hikes.

Hot Tip:

If you’re set on redeeming Hilton points for a high-end stay, check award rates far in advance. Hilton’s dynamic system sometimes drops prices during off-peak times, and you can rebook without penalty if rates fall.

Final Thoughts

Hilton Honors still delivers solid value at mid-tier and business hotels. Still, this latest devaluation puts its top properties further out of reach, a blow for those who desire top-notch redemptions. Moving forward, diversifying with programs like World of Hyatt or Marriott Bonvoy may offer more predictable pricing and better high-end opportunities for travelers aiming for luxury redemptions.
