Hyatt doesn’t have a massive presence in Argentina, but it’s looking to change that. The hotel chain plans to open Casa Duhau in Mendoza, Argentina, in late 2027. The new-build hotel will have 52 villas and suites and will be part of the nearly 1,000-acre Reserva Alto Agrelo development, which will feature a premium winery.

The hotel, which will be part of Hyatt’s Unbound Collection, will feature 2 signature restaurants, a pool, a fitness center, a spa, a lagoon, wellness experiences, and more. Casa Duhau will be Hyatt’s third property in Argentina, after Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires and Park Hyatt Mendoza.

NoMad Singapore, Singapore (2027)

NoMad is making its debut in Asia with the announcement of the NoMad Singapore, opening in 2027. Not much is known about the hotel, but Hilton says it will have 173 guest rooms and will focus on “sophisticated design, world-class dining and immersive cultural programming.” NoMad Singapore will join NoMad London, which boasts a curated collection of more than 1,600 original works of art.

Marriott Inks Deals for 5 Hotels in Austria

Marriott has signed agreements for 5 new hotels in Austria, comprising 1,100+ rooms. The hotel giant will expand its Tribute Portfolio, AC Hotels, and Four Points Flex by Sheraton brands, and all 5 properties will be converted from existing hotels.

Hyatt Plans To Bring 15 New Hyatt Studios to the U.S.

Hyatt has signed an agreement with the real estate investment firm Caliber to develop 15 Hyatt Studios hotels in the United States. Hyatt plans to open new hotels in what it calls “key markets” in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Texas, and Louisiana.

If you aren’t familiar with it, Hyatt debuted the Hyatt Studios brand back in 2023 as an upper-midscale extended-stay brand. Each apartment-style suite features in-room kitchens and free Wi-Fi, while the hotels have amenities like EV charging stations, complimentary grab-and-go breakfast, a 24/7 market, self-service laundry, a fitness studio, and pet-friendly accommodations.

Hot Tip:

Note that Hyatt Studios properties earn a base rate of just 2.5 World of Hyatt points per $1 spent, rather than 5x at other Hyatt brands.

Final Thoughts

It was a busy and exciting week in the hotel world. Kimpton opened a new hotel in the heart of Frankfurt, and Hilton boosted its presence with funky, new hotels in North Carolina and Texas. Moreover, several new hotels are planned for later this decade in exciting destinations like Singapore and Argentina.

As always, we’ll be back here next week with more news across the hotel industry!
