Hyatt has announced plans to launch a new extended-stay brand called Hyatt Studios.

Sitting somewhere in the middle of full-service and limited-service hotels, the Hyatt Studios brand will join the likes of existing Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, and Caption by Hyatt brands. You can expect a mix of “Hyatt’s signature guest experience with self-serve amenities and in-room offerings.”

In short, the hotel brand will gear to those traveling extended stays away from home. Here’s what to expect from Hyatt’s first “upper-midscale” brand, opening as soon as 2024.

Details on New Hyatt Studios Brand

As the name suggests, the Hyatt Studios brand will combine style and practicality.

The guest rooms will come with kitchens that will make long trips away from home more comfortable. The Hyatt Studios food and drink experience will include a free grab-and-go breakfast and a 24-hour market. There will be an ample number of options to satisfy extended-stay guests, ranging from health-conscious snacks and ready-made meals to sweet and savory treats to satisfy travel cravings.

All of these meals can be prepared and enjoyed in the kitchen, featuring a microwave and other appliances.

In each studio suite, guests should feel at home when they put their bags down and settle into their space.

“Amidst a sea of interchangeable extended-stay competitors, Hyatt Studios hotels will transcend dated notions of value-driven compromise by inviting guests to enjoy both the coziness of a studio apartment and the positive energy of being in a creative studio, all with the quality and contemporary style that is characteristic of Hyatt,” said Amy Weinberg, senior vice president, brand, loyalty, and data at Hyatt.

Where To Expect Hyatt Studios

This year, Hyatt will begin construction on 100 Hyatt Studios in the Americas. Moreover, the first hotel under the chain’s Studio brand is expected to open in 2024. Locations have been announced for Mobile, Alabama, and Marysville, California.

Hyatt plans to widen the footprint of its new Studios brand by establishing a presence in secondary and tertiary markets where the company currently lacks a presence. In contrast to some of its other properties, Hyatt Studios will consist entirely of hotels that have been built specifically for the brand.

We’re curious to see how Hyatt Studios will distinguish itself. For example, other Hyatt hotel brands like Hyatt Place and Hyatt House also provide guests with spacious accommodations, free breakfast, free Wi-Fi, 24/7 fitness centers, and even in-room kitchens at certain locations.

Hot Tip:

Guests will be able to earn and redeem World of Hyatt points at Hyatt Studios. To find out more, check out our full guide on the World of Hyatt program.

Final Thoughts

Soon, Hyatt will launch Hyatt Studios, its 28th brand and a novel extended-stay concept.

Until the first Hyatt Studios hotel opens in 2024, we won’t know for certain whether a stay at a Hyatt Studios differs from stays at some of existing brands serving a similar demographic of travelers. However, there are certain amenities that will appeal to the modern, on-the-go traveler and families seeking comfort.
