Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has announced the name of its new extended-stay hotel brand, with the first hotel scheduled to open next year.

Here are the details!

Extended-Stay Brand ECHO Suites Joins Wyndham

Wyndham has announced a new brand, ECHO Suites, to its portfolio and calls it the “fastest growing brand” in its development pipeline.

ECHO Suites, which Wyndham is catering to extended-stay customers, will become the chain’s 24th brand.

Wyndham says there are 120 ECHO Suites hotels in its pipeline across the United States, with the first ground break taking place in Plano, Texas. Other locations breaking ground include Sterling, Virginia, near Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), and Richmond, Virginia. The chain plans to build 300 ECHO Suites hotels over the next decade.

Wyndham plans to keep the designs for the properties simple.

ECHO will focus on delivering “efficiently designed spaces and thoughtful essentials” with a simple and modern design. Wyndham says the 4-story 124-room hotels can sit on just 2 acres of land. ECHO hotels will feature single-, and two-queen studio suites with kitchens, and amenity spaces will include fitness centers and laundry services.

The first ECHO Suites property is slated to open in 2023, though there’s no information about which location will open first or when it will open.

“More than ever, travelers today are looking for value, especially long-term guests booking extended stays. At the same time, they want a space that looks and feels like them. A space that’s well-designed and inviting,” Geoff Ballotti, president and CEO of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, said in a statement.

Ballotti went on to say that ECHO’s mission was to give guests a “great extended stay experience.”

Wyndham is one of the world’s largest hotel chains, with a whopping 9,100 hotels in nearly 100 countries.

While Wyndham doesn’t get as much traction as Hilton, Hyatt, or Marriott, it has nearly 2 dozen brands under its portfolio. ECHO Suites will join brands such as Wyndham Hotels and ResortsRamadaLa Quinta, and another extended-stay option, Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham, which has 77 properties in North America and Asia.

Final Thoughts

Wyndham has announced a new extended-stay brand, giving travelers looking to stay at these properties more options. While extended-stay properties rarely offer premium amenities, perks such as 27/7 laundry access and fitness center are going to be a huge hit when ECHO Suites properties open next year.
