It’s been a strong start to September, with some ultra-luxury hotels and resorts opening in the Dominican Republic, Paris, and the United Kingdom. We’ve also got the scoop on some exciting projects planned in Texas Hill Country, France, and the Bahamas.

Dreams Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa, Dominican Republic

Hyatt has opened yet another all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic, and it’s a stunner. Dreams Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa, located along the northeast coast of the Dominican Republic, offers 500 guest rooms and suites.

The resort is family-friendly, with amenities catering to all ages. You’ll find a whopping 17 bars and restaurants, as well as kids’ and teens’ clubs, 3 swimming pools, a fitness center, a spa, a salon, and more.

  • Typical points cost: Category B; between 17,000 and 23,000 World of Hyatt points per night

Hotel Faubourg Galant Paris – Handwritten Collection, France

Accor has opened a new high-end property: Hotel Faubourg Galant Paris – Handwritten Collection. Located in Paris’ Faubourg Montmartre district in the 9th arrondissement, the 63-room hotel features a dual breakfast room and coworking space, a fitness room, and a sauna.

Bottom Line:

Accor launched the Handwritten Collection brand in 2023. The brand is known for its cozy, boutique-style hotels that cater to travelers who prefer a more personal and bespoke experience from their stays. Accor plans to grow Handwritten Collection to more than 250 hotels by 2030.

The Chancery Rosewood, United Kingdom

The Chancery Rosewood has officially opened in London — and its address may seem familiar. Housed in what was formerly the U.S. Embassy, Rosewood has reimagined the building, which now has 144 suites. Room types include Junior Suites, Suites, Signature Suites, and Houses.

Amenities include 8 restaurants and bars, a spa, a fitness center, a swimming pool, a sauna, a steam room, and relaxation areas.

Radisson Blu Bariloche, Argentina

Choice Hotels has made its debut in Argentina with the opening of the 80-room Radisson Blu Bariloche. Guests have access to 2 restaurants, a wine bar, and a boutique with Argentine chocolate.

The hotel also features a spa, a pool, and a fitness center, as well as easy access to the Andean forests for guests who want to immerse themselves in nature.

Tru by Hilton and Homewood Suites by Hilton, Mexico

Tru by Hilton Saltillo and Homewood Suites by Hilton Saltillo have opened in Saltillo, Mexico, a growing industrial hub. The dual-brand opening offers 158 guest rooms between the 2 hotels.

Tru by Hilton offers on-site dining, meeting spaces, and an outdoor heated pool, while Homewood Suites features on-site dining, an outdoor pool, and “weekly socials.”

Upcoming Hotels

Signia by Hilton La Cantera Resort & Spa, Texas (October 2025)

Hilton has announced plans for a sprawling resort in the Texas Hill Country, and reservations are now available from October 1, 2025. Signia by Hilton La Cantera Resort & Spa has 496 guest rooms, including 34 villas and an adults-only floor

Amenities include 9 dining outlets, a spa, a golf club, 5 pools, a kids’ camp, nature trails, and 115,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting spaces. 

You’ll find award nights from 191,000 Hilton Honors points per night, or you can expect to pay around $370 per night.

Garner Hotel Pattaya Central, Thailand (January 2026)

IHG’s Garner brand is set to open in Thailand in late January. Garner Hotel Pattaya Central will have 153 guest rooms and suites. The hotel will feature an all-day dining restaurant, a swimming pool, a fitness center, and laundry facilities

The Westin Playa Vallarta, an All-Inclusive Resort, Mexico (May 2026)

The Westin Playa Vallarta is scheduled to open as an all-inclusive resort next May. The resort will offer 281 “reimagined suites,” including 30 with private plunge pools and 16 swim-up rooms. Amenities will include 10 dining options, refreshed pools, new pickleball and padel courts, a spa, and a fitness studio. 

Rates start at around 94,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night (after May 1, 2026) and $365 per night.

Hotel Daphne, Texas (January 2026)

Hyatt’s new Bunkhouse Hotels is opening its second concept in Houston early next year. Hotel Daphne, a new boutique hotel, will have just 49 guest rooms. Amenities will include an all-day restaurant, a bar, a library, a private events space, a courtyard, and a retail shop.

As a Category 6 property, rates for standard rooms will start at 21,000 Hyatt points per night (off-peak) up to 29,000 points per night on peak nights.

Rosewood Exuma, Bahamas (2028)

Rosewood recently broke ground on a new resort in Exuma in the Bahamas. Slated for a 2028 opening, Rosewood Exuma will have 33 bungalows, 69 slips for private yachts, a 20,000-square-foot spa, 6 dining options, and outdoor fitness programs.

Radisson Boosts Luxury Presence in France

Radisson announced this week that it had inked deals for 4 new high-end hotels in France, bringing its portfolio to 34 hotels open or under development.

Here’s a look at what’s in Radisson’s pipeline:

  • Banke Opera Paris, A Radisson Collection Hotel (Q3 2026): The 90-room hotel will undergo a complete renovation, with amenities expected to include a bar and restaurant, a gym, and wellness facilities.
  • Radisson Blu Hotel, Paris Roissy CDG Airport (Late 2025): Located directly in front of Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airport, the 305-room hotel will feature a fitness center, a sauna, a hammam, and an indoor swimming pool.
  • Radisson Resort Cannes (2026): This hotel features 100 guest rooms, along with amenities like direct beach access, an outdoor swimming pool, and private balconies in many rooms.
  • Hôtel Beaux Arts Bourges, a Member of Radisson Individuals (2027): This hotel will have 52 guest rooms and will be located near the main city square.

Final Thoughts

It’s been a strong start to the month of September. It seems like luxury hotels are opening in every part of the globe. We saw new openings in the Dominican Republic, Argentina, and other locations. Plus, there are several exciting properties on tap in Texas, France, Mexico, and more.
