If you have a Hyatt credit card, check your emails for a nice offer to score bonus points when you add an authorized user to your account.

Even better, there’s no spending requirement for this bonus, meaning you can take home 5,000 bonus points without any cost involved. However, not everyone is eligible for this targeted offer.

How does this offer work, and how do you find it? Let’s check out the details.

Hyatt’s Targeted Offer for Authorized User Bonuses

Check your email for a message with the subject “5,000 Bonus Points Are Waiting.” If you have The World of Hyatt Credit Card, you might have this email waiting for you, and it could lead to 5,000 smiles.

This offer is only available for those who received the email directly, so be sure to check your inbox and junk folder often. Those who received this email can earn 5,000 bonus points after adding an authorized user to their card account by May 3, 2026.

There’s no spending requirement for this bonus; all you need to do is add the authorized user. Remember that you’re ultimately responsible for any purchases made by the authorized user on your account. Moreover, because this account may appear on your authorized user’s credit report, you should get their permission before adding them to your account.

Lastly, the terms of this offer include a few details you should pay attention to:

  • Only 1 bonus is available per account, no matter how many authorized users you add.
  • It can take up to 8 weeks after the promotion ends to receive your bonus points.
  • The authorized user must still be on your account at that time for you to receive the bonus points.
  • Any change or closure of your credit card before the bonus posts to your account will make you ineligible for the bonus points.

Is It Worth It?

Should you take advantage of this offer? Absolutely.

It’s not often you can get bonus points for free — let alone in one of our favorite hotel rewards programs.

According to our latest valuations, World of Hyatt points are worth 1.5 cents each. That makes 5,000 points worth $75.

Getting $75 worth of points without spending any money — either to unlock the bonus or to add an authorized user — is a great bonus. If you’re eligible for this offer and have someone willing to let you add them as an authorized user, you should definitely do it.

Hot Tip:

While 5,000 points doesn’t sound like a lot, know that you can redeem World of Hyatt points for a night at a hotel starting at 3,500 points per night. Category 1 properties cost 3,500 points per night on off-peak dates and 5,000 points per night on standard dates, though you’ll need 6,500 points for a night during peak dates.

Final Thoughts

For no out-of-pocket cost and minimal effort, you can take home 5,000 World of Hyatt points by adding an authorized user to your World of Hyatt card from Chase. We value those points at $75, and you don’t need to spend any money to earn this bonus.

Unfortunately, not everyone is eligible for this offer. Eligible individuals must add an authorized user by May 3 to score the bonus points.
