World of Hyatt has long been one of the best Chase transfer partners. However, the transfer ratio has been devalued from 1:1 to 4:3 for new account holders of the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card. Existing cardholders who opened their accounts before June 15, 2026, will see the new ratio take effect on October 1, 2026.

While the math is certainly less favorable, there are still plenty of great deals out there. And we’re not just talking about lower-end hotels: Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency, and other upscale properties can still be booked with 12,000 Chase points, which convert to 9,000 World of Hyatt points at the new ratio for the Chase Sapphire Preferred card.

Chase Ultimate Rewards

Chase transfers must be made in 1,000-point increments. With the updated 4:3 ratio, you would need to transfer 12,000 Ultimate Rewards points from the Chase Sapphire Preferred card to receive 9,000 World of Hyatt points.

Below, you might be surprised by just how many great hotels around the world you can still book with that amount.

Hot Tip:

Skip the math next time. Bookmark our transfer partner calculator to see exactly how many points you’ll need to transfer to Hyatt and other partners.

1. Grand Hyatt Bogotá

The stunning Grand Hyatt Bogotá is worthy of being a destination in its own right. Located just a few blocks from a major mall and green spaces, the hotel is an inexpensive ride-share to central Bogotá. However, you may not want to leave the hotel, which has an incredible full-service spa and 5 pools.

Unless you’re a Hyatt Globalist member, it may be worth using a Guest of Honor award to enjoy access to the hotel’s executive lounge. Inside, breakfast is served, but it stays open throughout the day with an evening spread of local specialties and beverages. Combined with superb service and a relaxing atmosphere, the hotel is an excellent value at 8,000 World of Hyatt points per night (or 11,000 Chase Sapphire Preferred card points).

Additional Options For Booking Hyatt Hotels

If you have World of Hyatt points in your account, you can book stays directly. If not, here are some alternative options for booking Hyatt hotel stays with transferable rewards points.

Transfer Ultimate Rewards Points from Premium Chase Cards

Cardholders who have the Chase Sapphire Reserve® or Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ can still transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points earned on their cards to World of Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio.

This means that 9,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points transferred from these cards equal 9,000 World of Hyatt points — no math involved.

Hot Tip:

If you have the Chase Sapphire Reserve card or Chase Sapphire Reserve Business card, you can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards earned on other Chase Ultimate Rewards-earning cards (including the Chase Sapphire Preferred card) to either of the Reserve cards. You can then transfer to World of Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio.

Transfer Bilt Points

Link your Bilt card to World of Hyatt to transfer Bilt Points to your World of Hyatt account. Bilt Points earned on the Bilt Obsidian Card (rates & fees), Bilt Palladium Card (rates & fees), and the Bilt Blue Card (rates & fees) can be transferred to World of Hyatt at 1:1. Minimums apply.

Final Thoughts

The Chase Sapphire Preferred card offers great value for the modest $95 annual fee. While it’s a negative that the transfer ratio to World of Hyatt has devalued, there’s still value to be found at sprawling resorts, city hotels, and more.
