World of Hyatt has tweaked its website and mobile app to make it easier for members to see night-specific award availability in the existing points calendar feature. This should facilitate more seamless points and certificate redemptions.

“We listened to feedback from World of Hyatt members and in turn introduced this update to make award travel easier than ever so members can confidently turn their points into unforgettable stays,” said a Hyatt spokesperson.

Let’s take a look at the details of this helpful update!

Hyatt Improves Online Points Calendar Feature

World of Hyatt has improved its points calendar feature on its website and mobile app (iOS, Android), making it far easier for members to redeem points and free night certificates for stays online.

Now, the points calendar will adjust dynamically based on searches for destination, a specific hotel, stay dates, and number of guests. The calendar will show members whether or not a given night or nights are available for points reservations and at what rate, according to your search parameters. It will also display the lowest available cash rate.

This is great news for World of Hyatt members, who are sure to have been frustrated by the previous iteration of the points calendar. That would show you what you theoretically could book the room for in points, but you’d need to click into the specific date to verify whether it was actually available.

This update displays real-time, accurate information in the calendar view for months at a time, making it far easier for members to verify whether the dates they want to stay are bookable with points, or, for example, to identify a string of multiple consecutive nights for which they could combine a points redemption with a free night certificate they may have.

Earning World of Hyatt Points

We love the World of Hyatt program for its high-value redemptions. It’s fairly easy to earn World of Hyatt points, which you can use for stays at hotels worldwide. Hyatt offers a couple of co-branded credit cards issued by Chase, and you can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards or Bilt Rewards points to Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio.

Hot Tip:

With Hyatt introducing new functionality to its points calendar feature, it’s more important than ever to remind yourself of the best ways to redeem World of Hyatt points for maximum value!

Final Thoughts

Before this change, Hyatt’s points calendar feature was very limited in scope, which led to many frustrating searches. The feature now displays real-time availability information that adjusts based on your search criteria, making redeeming points or free night certificates for stays easier than ever.
