Hyatt is expanding its presence in Frankfurt, Germany, with the debut of a hotel in The Unbound Collection brand opening this year.

Let’s take a look!

Kennedy 89 Hotel To Have Nearly 200 Rooms

Named “Kennedy 89,” this hotel will have 181 guest rooms, including 68 suites. All rooms will have private balconies and kitchenettes, an indicator that this hotel was designed, in part, for extended stays.

The hotel will have a ground-floor restaurant, first-floor bars, and a rooftop. Amenities include a gym, underground parking, and nearly 1,400 square feet of meeting space. Furthermore, Kennedy 89 will be just a 10-minute drive to Frankfurt Airport (FRA).

Hyatt said the name was inspired by the street it is on, Kennedy Allee. That name pays homage to John F. Kennedy, the 35th U.S. president, who visited Frankfurt in 1963.

According to the hotel’s website, Kennedy 89 will open for guests in December 2023.

“With Frankfurt being one of the world’s leading financial centers, we are delighted to announce plans for the first hotel in The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand in the city with this one-of-a-kind property, marking an important milestone in our impressive luxury brand growth in Europe,” said Felicity Black-Roberts, vice president of development for Europe and North Africa at Hyatt.

How to Book the Kennedy 89 Hotel

Kennedy 89 will become Hyatt’s second branded hotel in Frankfurt, after the Category 1 Hyatt Place Frankfurt Airport. The hotel will also be the second Unbound Collection-branded property in Germany, joining The Wellem, a Category 4 property in Dusseldorf.

At least at the moment, it’s unclear how many World of Hyatt points you’ll need for a stay at Kennedy 89. In the meantime, you can book stays at Hyatt’s other properties in and around Frankfurt, such as the Hyatt Place Frankfurt Airport, mentioned above, or the Hyatt House Frankfurt Eschborn.

Hyatt points aren’t the easiest to earn. However, they’re among the most valuable hotel points out there, according to Upgraded Points’ valuations.

If you want to earn World of Hyatt points, you can consider opening The World of Hyatt Credit Card or World of Hyatt Business Credit Card. Both cards offers bonus points as part of their welcome offers and additional points for making purchases in certain spending categories.

Hot Tip:

If you have Chase Ultimate Rewards or Bilt Rewards points, you can transfer them to World of Hyatt (1:1 ratio!).

Final Thoughts

There aren’t many hotels in Frankfurt where you can earn and redeem Hyatt points. Therefore, the announcement of a new Unbound Collection property is fantastic for World of Hyatt loyalists. Be sure to check Kennedy 89’s website closer to opening for more information!

The information regarding The World of Hyatt Credit Card was independently collected by Upgraded Points and not provided nor reviewed by the issuer.
