If you’re thinking about a trip to Las Vegas this year, this is promotion is for you. World of Hyatt is offering members a 20% rebate on points redeemed for its Las Vegas properties for a limited time.

Let’s take a look at how this promotion works and whether it’s worth considering.

Earn a 20% Points Rebate on Las Vegas Hyatt Award Stays

Register here for a new World of Hyatt promotion to earn a 20% rebate in the form of bonus points on award stays you book at participating Las Vegas properties.

Registration opens on April 3, 2026, and stays must be completed by July 31, 2026.

While you’ll redeem the full number of points required for a stay at the property, you’ll receive a deposit of bonus points in your account equal to 20% of the total number of points you redeemed. Hyatt says these bonus points will appear in your account within 2 to 3 weeks after your stay.

Note that this promotion cannot be combined with any other offers, promotions, or discounts and is subject to availability at participating properties.

Is It Worth It?

Normally, we’d say a promotion like this is almost always worth it if you were planning to make hotel reservations anyway. However, the fact that this is a Las Vegas-centric promotion complicates things a bit.

The promotional period stretches into the summer, which is typically low season for Las Vegas. That means the city with already relatively low hotel rates (depending on the property) sees even lower rates. Plus, Hyatt doesn’t have a particularly robust portfolio of properties in the city.

Let’s look at an example: You can book the Rio Hotel & Casino, just off The Strip, from 9,000 World of Hyatt points per night. If you booked after registering for this promotion, you’d receive 1,800 points back as a rebate after your stay, assuming it was for 1 night, meaning you effectively booked the property for 7,200 points.

That seems like a great deal, but consider the fact that you can book the Rio from just $86 per night. We value World of Hyatt points at 1.5 cents apiece, meaning 7,200 are worth $108. In this case, you’re better off saving your points for a more valuable redemption and paying the cash rate.

It’s worth noting that Hyatt does have 2 standout properties in its Las Vegas lineup: The Venetian and The Palazzo at The Venetian Resort. However, we weren’t able to find any award availability during the promotional period online, and it might require calling Hyatt to check rates. These properties command higher rates, so they could represent a better value for your points, especially with the 20% rebate.

Final Thoughts

Hyatt’s running an interesting promotion in Las Vegas that effectively gives you a 20% discount on award stays. However, you’ll need to run the numbers before booking to determine whether redeeming your points — even with the rebate — is the right play.
