Japan has some of the best hotels to spend World of Hyatt points, and a new Caption by Hyatt property is no exception.

Caption by Hyatt Namba Osaka has opened in the famed city, and it’s a steal with Hyatt points. Let’s take a look!

New Hyatt Hotel Opens in Japan

The 167-room Caption by Hyatt Namba Osaka has opened in the heart of Osaka, Japan.

Amenities include an all-day lounge, workspace, coffee shop, cocktail bar, fitness center, and laundry room. The hotel takes a “do-it-yourself” approach; there’s no standard check-in. Instead, you’ll do a self-service check-in and enter your room with a digital key.

The hotel is located near 2 metro stations and several railways. It is also accessible from Kansai (KIX) and Osaka (ITM) airports.

“We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Caption by Hyatt brand hotel in Japan in the heart of Osaka, bringing a brand that combines the design and comfort of a lifestyle hotel with the flexibility of a select-service property,” said Sam Sakamura, vice president, Japan and Micronesia at Hyatt.

Sakamura went on to say that the hotel will “contribute to the growth of Japan’s tourism sector” and lead to more connections among travelers.

Booking Caption by Hyatt Namba Osaka

Caption by Hyatt Namba Osaka is now open and is participating in the World of Hyatt loyalty program. This means you can earn and redeem points at the hotel.

Like many other Hyatt hotels in Asia, Caption by Hyatt Namba Osaka is an absolute steal with World of Hyatt points. It is a Category 1 hotel, meaning off-peak awards start at just 3,500 points per night. Japan is a year-round destination, though, so the lowest award rates we could find for a stay at Caption by Hyatt Namba Osaka start at 5,000 points per night.

Cash rates are also available for around $150 per night this fall. However, with such cheap award rates, we recommend using World of Hyatt points.

Hot Tip:

You can also book Caption by Hyatt Namba Osaka using a Category 1-4 free night certificate. You can earn these through the Brand Explorer program, staying 30 nights (or earning 50,000 base points), or having a Hyatt credit card like The World of Hyatt Credit Card.

World of Hyatt members will also receive 500 bonus points per night for stays between June 12 and September 30, 2024, when booked by September 27, 2024. This is a perfect opportunity to double dip and earn bonus points plus night credits towards Hyatt elite status.

Final Thoughts

Hyatt has opened a new Caption hotel in Osaka, Japan. Although it’s more of a boutique hotel, it is one of the best Category 1 options out there. If you’ve been planning to visit Osaka and have some Hyatt points lying around, this hotel is a great way to use them!
