Hyatt is expanding its Andaz brand in China by opening a new property in the eastern city of Nanjing.

Let’s take a look at all the details.

Andaz Nanjing Hexi Has More Than 350 Rooms

The Andaz Nanjing Hexi offers 362 guestrooms and suites with floor-to-ceiling windows. Rooms offer views of the city and the nearby Yangtze River, and all rooms feature a complimentary minibar, as is usual with the Andaz brand.

The hotel has 2 restaurant options, including a dining room and a 31st-floor rooftop bar. Amenities include a gym, pool, and meeting and event spaces.

In a statement, Hyatt said it was “thrilled” to introduce the Andaz brand to the area.

“This location is perfect for our inspiring Andaz brand, providing guests the opportunity to experience Nanjing’s rich culture,” said Stephen Ho, President of Growth and Operations for Asia Pacific at Hyatt. “We sincerely appreciate our hotel owner, Sun Hung Kai Properties, for their support with entrusting Hyatt for this new hotel.”

If you aren’t familiar, Andaz is one of Hyatt’s signature premium brands. Andaz focuses on drawing local culture into an inspiring property through style, luxury amenities, and relaxing social spaces.

This marks the fourth Andaz hotel in the Greater China region, following the Andaz Shenzhen Bay, Andaz Xiantiandi, Shanghai, and Andaz Xiamen.

How To Book

The Andaz Nanjing Hexi is now open and participates in the World of Hyatt loyalty program. And, for an Andaz property, the hotel is reasonably priced when using World of Hyatt points.

The hotel is a Category 4 property, so rates start at 12,000 points per night for off-peak dates.

Another way to book a stay at this hotel is by redeeming a Category 1-4 free night certificate. You can earn these certificates by completing a certain number of qualifying nights, participating in promotions, or having a Hyatt credit card.

If you’re low on World of Hyatt points, you can consider opening either The World of Hyatt Credit Card or World of Hyatt Business Credit Card, which offers bonus points as part of their welcome offers and additional points for making purchases with the cards in certain spending categories.

Hot Tip: If you have a card that earns Chase Ultimate Rewards or Bilt Rewards points, you can transfer them to World of Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio.

Final Thoughts

Any time an Andaz property opens, it’s great news for World of Hyatt loyalists, and the Andaz Nanjing Hexi is no exception. With the hotel being a Category 4 property, you can redeem points (or certificates) for a stay, making this an excellent sweet spot for China!
