Hyatt has debuted its Hyatt Regency brand in East China’s Changshu district.

Let’s take a look at this new property.

First International Brand Hotel in Changshu

Hyatt Regency Changshu Kuncheng Lake has 289 guest rooms and suites with high-speed Wi-Fi and a Bluetooth sound system. Guests booking Regency Club access receive complimentary amenities such as afternoon tea and cocktails.

The hotel offers several dining options, including a buffet, private dining venue, teppanyaki grill, and lounge.

The hotel is centrally located and is just an hour’s drive from major cities, including Suzhou, Wuxi, and Shanghai.

With the opening, the Hyatt Regency Changshu Kuncheng Lake has become the first international hotel brand in Changshu, a county-level city in East China.

“We are excited to welcome guests to Hyatt Regency Changshu Kuncheng Lake, an ideal destination for discovering the unique historical, cultural, and natural richness of Changshu,” said Frank Chen, General Manager of Hyatt Regency Changshu Kuncheng Lake.

How To Book

Hyatt Regency Changshu Kuncheng Lake is a World of Hyatt member, so you can earn World of Hyatt points for stays at the property.

This hotel is a steal if you’re mattress running for World of Hyatt elite status, as it’s a Category 1 property with awards starting at just 3,500 points per night (for off-peak dates). Cash rates start at just $86 per night for dates this winter.

You can also use a Hyatt Category 1-4 free night certificate to book stays at this hotel. You can earn the certificate by completing the Brand Explorer challenge, staying 30 qualifying nights (or earning 50,000 Base Points) in a calendar year, or holding a co-branded Hyatt credit card.

World of Hyatt points aren’t the easiest to earn but are incredibly valuable. Even if you don’t have a Hyatt credit card, if you have a card that earns Chase Ultimate Rewards or Bilt Rewards points, you can transfer them to Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio.

Final Thoughts

This opening is exciting for Hyatt Regency fans looking for high-end stays in East China. Even better, the hotel is a sweet spot for World of Hyatt loyalists who are mattress-running for elite status, given how affordable the property is with points or cash!
