World of Hyatt is expanding its ultra-luxury Hyatt Ziva brand. The chain plans to open the Hyatt Ziva Punta Cana in 2029, a new-build all-inclusive resort.

While we’re still a few years away from opening, let’s go over the resort, its amenities, and how to stay at other Hyatt Ziva resorts while we wait.

New Hyatt Ziva Resort Planned for 2029 Opening

Hyatt Ziva Punta Cana will feature a whopping 650 guest rooms and suites. While the resort will be family-friendly, interestingly, it will also include an adults-only building.

Hyatt hasn’t released any photos of the resort, but we know it will offer amenities that include a fitness center, a spa, a beach club, a water park, and 5 swimming pools. As a family-friendly resort, Hyatt Ziva Punta Cana will feature separate adults-only and kids’ pools, and Hyatt will ensure even the smallest guests are happy thanks to amenities like a kids’ club, a teens’ club, and a bowling alley.

Like most all-inclusive resorts, the dining program will be a major draw to stay here. Hyatt Ziva Punta Cana will feature 12 total dining options, including a buffet, bars, speciality restaurants, and even an ice cream venue.

“We are thrilled to expand our portfolio with Hyatt with plans for Hyatt Ziva Punta Cana,” said Alvaro Peña, president of Codelpa. “Following the successful debut of Secrets Tides Punta Cana, we look forward to expanding the Hyatt Ziva brand in Punta Cana, complementing Hyatt’s growing brand presence in the region and offering a family-friendly experience on the destination’s white sand beaches.”

Booking Hyatt Ziva Resorts With Points

Unfortunately, the Hyatt Ziva Punta Cana doesn’t open until 2029. When it opens, it will participate in the World of Hyatt program, which means you’ll be able to earn and redeem points here.

However, it won’t be the first Hyatt Ziva hotel on the island — or the only one you can book with points. The Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana, the family-friendly all-inclusive resort in the gated Cap Cana community, is one of the best ways to use Hyatt points in the Caribbean.

The resort is a Category F (Hyatt uses a separate award chart for all-inclusives), which requires between 42,000 and 58,000 points per night.

If you’re looking for a resort outside of the Dominican Republic, the Hyatt Ziva Cancun starts at 42,000 points nightly, while the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos and Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall (temporarily closed) start at 35,000 points per night. Finally, the Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta starts at just 25,000 points per night.

Hot Tip:

You have a few ways to earn World of Hyatt points. Hyatt has 2 great transfer partners in Chase Ultimate Rewards and Bilt Rewards. You can also earn points through welcome bonuses and daily spending on Hyatt’s co-branded credit cards.

Final Thoughts

We’re extremely excited to learn about the Hyatt Ziva Punta Cana, which will open in a few years. A new family-friendly resort is always welcome news, and we fully expect it to be as high-end as Hyatt’s other all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico.
