IHG is currently offering a few promotions, but it has just added another one for Cyber Monday and Travel Tuesday — though you’ll need to take action quickly if you want to take advantage.

For a (very) limited time, members can earn 5x points on December stays. Let’s take a look at the details.

Book Today or Tomorrow To Earn 5X Points

IHG One Rewards has added a new element to its slate of current promotions. If you book IHG stays today, December 1, or tomorrow, December 2, 2025, you can earn 5x points for stays through December 31.

This is a temporary increase to the ongoing up to 3x promotion. If you’ve already registered for that promotion, your earnings will be elevated to 5x, provided you book by December 2.

Typically, IHG One Rewards members earn 10 points per $1 spent. Under the ongoing up-to-3x promotion, this earning rate is elevated to 30 points per $1 spent. Now, with the 5x promotion, that rate jumps again to a whopping 50 points per $1 spent, an increase of 20 points per dollar.

While those with IHG One Rewards elite status earn bonus points on top of the standard earning rates, bonus earnings aren’t multiplied under this offer — only base points.

If you’re not already registered for the up to 3x promo, you can do so here in order to claim your 5x earnings on bookings made today and tomorrow, December 1 and December2.

If you don’t have any use for IHG stays before the year ends, we wouldn’t recommend you go out of your way to book any just to go after the elevated earnings. However, if you have reservations for stays before the end of the year that are already booked, you can cancel them and rebook to take advantage of the 5x offer.

IHG’s offering an excellent opportunity to boost your earnings on stays through the end of the year. If you have IHG stays booked already that are happening before December 31, it’s definitely worth the effort to cancel and rebook reservations to ensure you earn 5x points on those bookings.

If you want to take advantage, though, you’ll need to act quickly. The elevated earnings are only available through tomorrow, December 2.
