IHG Opens 2 New Properties in British Columbia, Canada

IHG has announced the opening of 2 new hotels in British Columbia, Canada. Located in Comox Valley and Victoria on Vancouver Island, the hotels should please travelers headed to one of North America’s most popular outdoor destinations.

IHG’s Growing Canadian Footprint

These 2 new hotels are the latest additions to IHG’s growing portfolio in Canada. In fact, the chain has more than 40 hotels planned for the country over the next several years. These will fall under 6 of the chain’s brands.

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Courtenay – Comox is a newly built hotel with 93 rooms, an indoor pool, a fitness center, and access to laundry facilities. Guests can also expect the brand’s signature complimentary breakfast. The hotel’s location in Comox Valley is near popular attractions such as Horne Lake Caves and Mt. Washington.

The Holiday Inn Victoria – Elk Lake is conveniently located near Victoria International Airport (YYJ) as well as the city’s downtown area. The newly-renovated hotel currently features 71 rooms, though there are plans to add more rooms in the future. Guests can look forward to an outdoor swimming pool, fitness center, and The Lakes Restaurant and Bar, a locally popular spot.

Both hotels feature meeting rooms for business meetings or other events.
