JetBlue is boosting its transatlantic network … yet again. The airline plans to add new flights from its Boston (BOS) hub to Edinburgh (EDI) and Madrid (MAD) next year.

There’s a lot to cover, so let’s take a look at this exciting news!

New European Routes To Launch in May

JetBlue will begin service from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) to Edinburgh Airport (EDI) and Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD). These seasonal flights will launch on May 22, 2025, and operate daily through October 24, 2025.

Here’s a look at the new routes:

Madrid is a new route for JetBlue, while Edinburgh is already served by New York (JFK).

“Europe continues to be part of our network strategy, as our loyal customers look for JetBlue’s signature service and low fares to bring them to top leisure destinations, including across the Atlantic,” said Daniel Shurz, head of revenue, network, and enterprise planning at JetBlue.

JetBlue is quickly becoming one of the most reliable airlines for flights to Europe. Historically, the airline has served the U.S., the Caribbean, and Latin America. The airline launched transatlantic flights in 2022 and now serves a handful of European destinations, such as London (LHR), Amsterdam (AMS), and Paris (CDG).

Hot Tip:

Notably, JetBlue flies single-aisle Airbus A321LR and A321neo jets on its transatlantic routes. This is pretty rare, as other major airlines offer widebody aircraft on these routes. However, JetBlue quickly established itself as one of the best ways to fly business class to Europe, thanks to its fantastic Mint product.

How To Book JetBlue Flights to Edinburgh and Madrid

JetBlue is offering promo fares to celebrate the new routes, with flights starting at just $499 in economy or $2,799 round-trip in Mint.

When you book your flight, make sure to use one of the best credit cards for travel or a JetBlue credit card to maximize your purchase.

There’s also availability on the new routes with JetBlue TrueBlue points. For instance, a one-way flight between Boston and Edinburgh starts at 42,900 points.

Luckily, JetBlue TrueBlue points are simple to earn, as you can transfer points from American Express Membership Rewards, Chase Ultimate Rewards, or Citi ThankYou.

Final Thoughts

JetBlue is launching flights to 2 new European destinations in May 2025, including Madrid, which is a new destination for the airline. Airfare for these new routes is reasonably priced to start, especially if you’re using TrueBlue points, so if you’re interested in either of these new routes, now’s a fantastic time to book!
