There’s nothing quite like new sunshine route announcements to get the wanderlust flowing.

The latest airline to provide exactly that is JetBlue, offering new nonstop routes from Orlando (MCO) to the Dominican Republic.

Just in time for peak winter season, November is the set start date for the carrier’s inaugural services to Punta Cana (PUJ) and Santiago (STI).

“JetBlue continues to provide travelers with options to experience desirable destinations, including Orlando, recognized as one of the most visited cities in the U.S,” said Kevin Thibault, CEO of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority.

Here are the details of JetBlue’s hottest new winter sun services.

JetBlue Expands Capacity to Dominican Republic From Orlando

To change things up from the Floridian winter sun of Orlando, JetBlue is adding 2 new nonstop services to the Dominican Republic where the sun shines year-round.

Both services will operate once daily from Orlando’s new and expanded Terminal C, with the inauguration date planned for Saturday, November 4, 2023. These new routes are part of the carrier’s larger plan to reach 200 flights per day out of its Orlando (MCO) base by 2027 — that is, if the impending merger with Spirit Airlines is successful.

Given the popularity of the Dominican Republic as a vacation destination and the huge diaspora of Dominicans living throughout Florida, it could be surprising for some that JetBlue will be the only airline operating services on both routes.

“Punta Cana and Santiago are both major Caribbean destinations, but limited options exist for customers to get there from Orlando today,” said David Jehn, vice president of network planning and partnerships at JetBlue.

The daily departure to Punta Cana is scheduled as follows:

  • Depart Orlando (MCO) 8:35 a.m. — Arrive Punta Cana (PUJ) 12:05 p.m.
  • Depart Punta Cana (PUJ) 1:10 p.m. — Arrive Orlando (MCO) 3 p.m.

While the Santiago service departs in the afternoon:

  • Depart Orlando (MCO) 1 p.m. — Arrive Santiago (STI) 4:20 p.m.
  • Depart Santiago (STI) 5:30 p.m. — Arrive Orlando (MCO) 7:10 p.m.

Punta Cana (PUJ) and Santiago (STI) join Santo Domingo (SDQ) as JetBlue’s second and third nonstop routes to the Dominican Republic from Orlando (MCO).

Tickets are available to book now through JetBlue.com, where you’ll find one-way fares starting as low as $123!

Hot Tip: If you don’t have enough points to redeem instead of using cash, we’d highly recommend paying for your next JetBlue flights with a credit card like The JetBlue Plus Card, which will earn you 6x TrueBlue points on eligible JetBlue purchases.

Final Thoughts

JetBlue is making travel between Orlando and the Dominican Republic even more accessible with its 2 new routes to Punta Cana and Santiago.

With fares as low as $123, what more could you ask for?
