Update:The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

Barclays has launched a new, limited-time welcome offer on The JetBlue Plus Card. This is one of the best bonuses we’ve seen on the card in quite some time.

The card is likely to be a great fit for your wallet if you often fly with JetBlue, but you can also redeem points with partners like Qatar Airways or Hawaiian Airlines. Here are the details on the JetBlue Plus card and quickly boost your TrueBlue points balance.

JetBlue Plus Card Welcome Offer — Details

With the JetBlue Plus card, you can earn 80,000 bonus points after spending $1,000 on purchases and paying the annual fee in full, both within the first 90 days.

We value JetBlue TrueBlue points at 1.3 cents per point, giving 80,000 JetBlue points a value of $1,040. Since JetBlue operates a fixed-value rewards program, this is roughly right around the amount you can expect to receive when booking JetBlue award flights.

Keep in mind that redeeming points for JetBlue Mint seats only offer a value of about 1.1 cents per point. But, you can also redeem just 79,000 JetBlue points for a one-way ticket on the famed Qatar Airways QSuites, which can often cost thousands of dollars.

JetBlue Plus Card Benefits

Beyond the welcome offers, the JetBlue Plus card offers a handful of valuable perks that those who frequently fly the airline are likely to enjoy.

You’ll earn 6x points per dollar on eligible JetBlue purchases, 2x points per dollar on restaurants and at grocery stores, and 1x points per dollar on all other purchases.

Cardholders receive a free checked bag for themselves and up to 3 companions on JetBlue-operated flights, a 50% savings on inflight purchases on JetBlue flights, no blackout dates for redemptions, and a $100 statement credit after they purchase a JetBlue Vacations package of $100 or more with their card.

To help offset the $99 annual fee, you’ll receive 5,000 bonus points on your account anniversary each year, which we value at $65. Plus, you’ll get 10% of your points back after you redeem for a JetBlue award flight.

Lastly, if you fly with JetBlue often enough to earn JetBlue Mosaic status, having the JetBlue Plus card can help you get there even faster by offering you 1 tile for every $1,000 spent on the card. As a reminder, you’ll qualify for the first level of JetBlue Mosaic status after reaching 50 tiles.

Hot Tip:

In case you didn’t know, JetBlue now offers flights to Europe, with options to London, Paris, Edinburgh, and Amsterdam.

Final Thoughts

If you often fly with JetBlue and don’t already have this card, what are you waiting for? It helps you earn more points on JetBlue flights and receive perks like free checked bags, inflight discounts, a 10% rebate on award flights, 5,000 annual bonus points, and more.

Now, the card is even better thanks to its 80,000-point welcome offer, so consider taking advantage of it before the limited-time offer ends.
