Barclays has launched a new, limited-time welcome offer on The JetBlue Plus Card. This is one of the better bonuses we’ve seen on the card recently.

The card is likely to be a great fit for your wallet if you often fly with JetBlue, but you also can redeem points on partner flights like Qatar Airways or Hawaiian Airlines. Here are the details on the JetBlue Plus card’s new offer to quickly boost your TrueBlue points balance.

JetBlue Plus Card Welcome Offer — Details

With the JetBlue Plus card, you can earn 70,000 bonus points after spending $1,000 on purchases and paying the annual fee in full, both within the first 90 days. This card’s previous offer provided 50,000 bonus points after the same spending requirement.

We value JetBlue TrueBlue points at 1.3 cents per point, giving 70,000 JetBlue points a value of $910. Since JetBlue TrueBlue is a fixed-value rewards program, this is roughly right around the amount you can expect to receive when booking JetBlue award flights.

Keep in mind that redeeming points for JetBlue Mint seats only offers a value of about 1.1 cents per point. However, you can redeem just 79,000 JetBlue points for a one-way ticket on the famed Qatar Airways QSuites, which often cost thousands of dollars.

JetBlue Plus Card Benefits

Beyond its welcome offer, the JetBlue Plus card offers a handful of valuable perks that frequent JetBlue flyers are likely to enjoy.

You’ll earn 6x points per $1 spent on eligible JetBlue purchases, 2x points on restaurants and at grocery stores, and 1x points per $1 spent on all other purchases.

Cardholders receive a free checked bag for themselves and up to 3 companions on JetBlue-operated flights, a 50% savings on inflight purchases on JetBlue flights, no blackout dates for redemptions, and a $100 statement credit after they purchase a JetBlue Vacations package of $100 or more with their card.

To help offset the card’s $99 annual fee, you’ll receive 5,000 bonus points on your account anniversary each year, which we value at $65. Plus, you’ll get 10% of your points back after you redeem for a JetBlue award flight.

Lastly, if you fly with JetBlue often enough to earn JetBlue Mosaic status, having the JetBlue Plus card can help you get there even faster by offering you 1 tile for every $1,000 spent on the card. As a reminder, you’ll qualify for the first level of JetBlue Mosaic status after reaching 50 tiles.
