JetBlue has touched down on the idyllic shores of St. Kitts and Nevis for the very first time.

Thursday, November 2, 2023, saw the inaugural flight of JetBlue 2967 from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York (JFK) to Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport in Basseterre(SKB).

“We are pleased to announce that today signifies a momentous occasion, as JetBlue embarks on its inaugural flight to St. Kitts,” said Hon. Marsha T. Henderson, Minister of Tourism, International Transport, Civil Aviation, Urban Development, Employment, and Labour for St. Kitts and Nevis. “This noteworthy milestone enhances the connectivity of our destination from the United States and underscores our partnership with the esteemed airline, JetBlue.”

Here’s everything you need to know about JetBlue’s hottest new Caribbean destination.

JetBlue’s New Service to St. Kitts and Nevis

With the addition of St. Kitts and Nevis, JetBlue now flies nonstop from its home airport of JFK to 22 Caribbean island destinations.

The best part is that the service is year-round, meaning that sun-seekers can make the most of the islands’ beaches and climate whenever they wish.

Round-trip service is scheduled 3 times per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at the following times:

  • Depart New York (JFK) 9:29 a.m. — Arrive Basseterre (SKB) 2:14 p.m.
  • Depart Basseterre (SKB) 3:30 p.m. — Arrive New York (JFK) 7 p.m.

Thanks to JetBlue’s arrival in St Kitts, New Yorkers will have significantly improved connectivity to the islands, as until the inaugural service, there was only 1 flight per week operated by ex-Northeast Alliance partner American Airlines.

JetBlue’s Airbus A320 aircraft — complete with speedy, unlimited, free Wi-Fi for all passengers — will operate this new route.

For a limited time only, JetBlue is offering one-way fares from JFK to St. Kitts for $169 when booking directly through the airline’s website.

Hot Tip:

When paying for JetBlue flights with cash rather than using points, use one of the credit cards recommended for JetBlue flyers. For example, The JetBlue Plus Card earns 6x points per $1 spent on JetBlue flights and vacations!

Final Thoughts

Thanks to JetBlue’s new service to St. Kitts and Nevis, sun-seekers from New York and across JetBlue’s network can now make the most of the year-round sea, sand, and sunshine that the stunning islands have to offer.

The information regarding The JetBlue Plus Card was independently collected by Upgraded Points and not provided nor reviewed by the issuer.
