If you’ve ever wished you could get to Cabo in Mexico, without dealing with Phoenix Sky Harbor (with its lengthy walks to terminals and crazy security lines), JSX just delivered.

The air carrier is launching flights between Scottsdale (SCF) and Cabo San Lucas (CSW) starting October 8, 2026, with introductory fares from $499 one-way. No, that’s not a typo.

And once you understand what JSX actually is, the price suddenly looks a lot more interesting. Let’s take a look.

What JSX Is, and Why This Route Is Different

JSX operates out of private, dedicated terminals, not commercial airports. For this route, that means checking in from Scottsdale Airpark (SCF) — not Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX) — just 45 minutes before your international departure. No TSA lines, no crowded concourses, and no baggage carousels to deal with.

On board, you’re on a 30-seat Embraer jet with business class legroom, no middle seats, free Starlink Wi-Fi, power at every seat, and complimentary cocktails and snacks. Additionally, 2 checked bags are included in the base fare.

The arrival experience matters just as much. JSX flies into Cabo San Lucas International (CSW), a private, secondary airport, not the main Los Cabos International (SJD). That means an expedited customs and clearance process — something typically reserved for private jet passengers — and a clean, fast path to your resort.

Flights operate daily on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays at launch, ramping up to daily flights during peak season. The new flights will launch on October 8, and JSX is offering limited-time promo fares of $499 one-way.

Hot Tip:

How JSX Stacks Up Against Typical Airlines

A nonstop flight on a legacy carrier from Phoenix to Los Cabos typically runs $300 to over $500 in a similar booking window, often without bags included, with a recommended 2-hour check-in buffer, and an arrival at a packed international airport. Once you add bags and factor in your time, the gap between JSX and typical airlines narrows fast — or disappears entirely, depending on how you price your time waiting in line.

Earning and Redeeming Points for These Flights

Here’s why you should pay attention.

Along with booking on jsx.com, JSX fares can be booked through JetBlue and United, which means your JetBlue TrueBlue and United MileagePlus accounts can help you out. Alternatively, you can earn with the new Club JSX program. Earning miles on a semiprivate international flight to Cabo is a real win in its own right.

JSX purchase also code as airfare, meaning you can earn extra points on cards like the Chase Sapphire Reserve®, Citi Strata Premier® Card, and the Platinum Card® from American Express.

Final Thoughts

JSX’s new Scottsdale-to-Cabo route is a legitimate option for Arizona travelers who want a more relaxing international flight experience. The $499 starting fare isn’t a bargain, but the combination of private terminals, checked-bag inclusions, a 45-minute check-in window, and landing at a private Cabo airport makes this a product different from what the major carriers are selling.

If you’re already planning a Cabo trip from Scottsdale, it’s worth a serious look.
