The new JW Marriott Hotel São Paulo is officially open, making it Marriott’s first luxury property in the most populous city in the Americas.

Located in the bustling Parque da Cidade complex full of businesses and entertainment options, the JW has taken over what was previously the very luxurious Four Seasons Hotel.

“JW Marriott Hotel São Paulo is an oasis in the heart of the city. The property will offer programs that encourage its guests to take care of the mind, nourish the body and revitalize the soul. In addition, the hotel seeks to redefine the concept of luxury in this metropolis, with world-class services, loyalty to the local culture, [and] providing a welcome respite from the concrete jungle that surrounds it,” said Rosana Okamoto, General Manager, JW Marriott Hotel São Paulo.

Here’s what you can expect from a stay at São Paulo’s newest luxury hotel.

The JW Marriott Hotel São Paulo Is Now Open

The JW Marriott Hotel São Paulo is a welcome addition for both business and leisure travelers looking for 5-star accommodations in Brazil’s largest metropolis.

The Property

The newest JW Marriott features 258 guest rooms and suites with contemporary styling, custom-made furnishings, and views of São Paulo’s seemingly endless skyline.

“We are excited to expand Marriott’s presence in Brazil with the opening of the stunning JW Marriott Hotel São Paulo, our first luxury hotel in the city. The arrival of JW Marriott in São Paulo reinforces our commitment and vision for the region and will complement our existing offering with a renowned, global luxury brand known for catering to sophisticated, mindful travelers seeking the anticipatory service for which JW Marriott is known,” said Brian King, Marriott International’s President in the Caribbean and Latin America.

Throughout the hotel, Brazilian architecture, landscaping, and natural resources were used as inspiration for the property’s design, including the use of native Atlantic Forest trees to attract native animals and birds.

The mixture of art and nature is on full display as soon as you walk into the lobby. It boasts custom fiber optic and crystal installations meant to imitate the night sky along with exclusive artwork created by São Paulo-based painter and designer Antonio Malta and renowned Brazilian artist Burle Marx.

Award nights at the new JW Marriott Hotel São Paulo start from 30,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night. This means you could also use a 35,000-point free night certificate that comes with certain Marriott co-branded credit cards on eligible nights! And with cash rates from around $250 per night, this hotel represents an excellent opportunity to stay at a 5-star hotel without breaking the bank.

Dining, Entertainment, and Leisure

In a city as vibrant and diverse as São Paulo, having impressive culinary experiences on-site is a must.

The main restaurant, Neto, was inspired by the Italian immigrants who first established São Paulo’s famed gastronomic scene. The 2-story space is a stunning mixture of marble and Brazilian wood with an open kitchen in the back. It’s open to both hotel guests and the public.

Anyone looking for a drink can visit Bar Caju, the centerpiece lobby bar which offers “garden-to-glass” cocktails and small bites.

There’s also a full spa with 10 treatment rooms offering a variety of treatments including some that use indigenous fruits and flowers to renew the body and mind.

Finally, it has a stunning pool area that will remind you that you’re in the heart of one of the world’s busiest cities.

Final Thoughts

Anyone traveling to São Paulo will surely be happy to have a well-known luxury hotel to call home after a long day. This oasis in the middle of the concrete jungle looks stunning — and it’s made even better by the fact that you can use Marriott Bonvoy points to pay for your stay!
