Kimpton Brand Expands in New York City

Kimpton Ashbel New York-Park Avenue has officially taken over the former 70 Park Avenue Hotel, completing its transformation into a Kimpton property. Initially built in 1928 during the Beaux-Arts movement as the Doral Park Avenue Hotel, the hotel has had a storied history in Midtown Manhattan.

Now part of the IHG One Rewards portfolio, the hotel features 205 guest rooms and suites, including 14 connecting rooms ideal for families. Many rooms offer views of Park Avenue and the Empire State Building.

Amenities include a fitness center, a cafe, complimentary coffee service in the mornings, and an afternoon wine hour.

The hotel’s location is ideal for both business and leisure travelers. The Empire State Building, Bryant Park, and The Morgan Library & Museum are just blocks away. For easy transportation around the city, the hotel is just a few blocks from Grand Central Terminal, which serves several subway lines and commuter trains.

This is the fourth Kimpton hotel in New York, after the Kimpton Hotel Theta, Kimpton Hotel Eventi, and Kimpton Era.
