Just a few weeks after IHG opened an InterContinental property in San Antonio, the hotel chain is adding another luxury hotel to the city’s skyline. The Kimpton Santo is scheduled to open in a few days, and we’re impressed already.

Here’s what you need to know about the hotel before it opens.

IHG Opening a Second High-End Hotel in San Antonio

The Kimpton Santo is a brand-new, 347-room hotel opening at the intersection of the Downtown and Southtown neighborhoods. Keeping to the Kimpton theme, rooms are tastefully decorated with pops of color, greenery, and natural light. The largest suite, the Presidental, is nearly 1,100 square feet and offers separate living and dining areas.

Amenities include a rooftop pool, 13,000 square feet of meeting space, 2 restaurants, a fitness center, and pet-friendly accommodations.

Kimpton Santo will open for guests on August 29, 2024.

IHG has a pretty extensive portfolio in San Antonio, mostly of low-cost hotel options. There is 1 luxury property, the InterContinental San Antonio Riverwalk (which just opened), so the Kimpton Santo should be a welcome addition for IHG fans.

This fall, rates are as low as $185 per night, which is an excellent price for San Antonio. But if you have some IHG One Rewards points and want to use them, the Kimpton Santo is the perfect choice.
