Update:The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card has been a staple in my wallet for several years. Unfortunately, one of its benefits will be sunsetting at the end of July.

Namely, Chase Sapphire Preferred cardholders can access a $15 quarterly Instacart credit upon enrollment. However, Chase’s partnership with the online grocery service is set to end on July 31, 2024, meaning you have just a few more weeks to burn a quick $15 credit.

Several other Chase credit cards, too, offer a $10 to $15 Instacart credit, so here’s how we recommend maximizing the limited-time benefit.

Last Call for Chase’s Instacart Credit

Chase first launched its partnership with Instacart in 2022, but it will end soon on July 31. Depending on your Chase credit card, you can enroll in the benefit for up to 1 year of a complimentary Instacart+ membership and statement credits.

If you’ve never used the benefit before, you will need to enroll your eligible card on Instacart.com/chase. After that, pay for Instacart with the card, and you should see the credit on your statement just a few days later.

How To Use the Chase Instacart Credit

Instacart is a fantastic online grocery delivery service, but there’s certainly an upcharge for the convenience. Instead of delivery, you can opt for a pickup order to save money on pesky delivery fees and paying a tip.

Look for Promos

Instacart will often run promotions with certain merchants, from Costco to CVS, where you can stack this $15 credit. Additionally, there is an Offers section on the website or app where various stores will run deals.

Instacart Has Restaurant Delivery

Uber Eats is now built into the Instacart app, so you can use your statement credit for your favorite restaurants near you. Again, make sure to place a pickup order so you can fully maximize the Instacart credit.

Use a Shopping Portal

If you order on your desktop, you can double-dip and earn more rewards through a shopping portal. To do this, visit Cashbackmonitor.com and type in Instacart in the search bar. You’ll find various options to earn more miles to your favorite airline or cash-back.

In this case, the Active Junky portal at 5% cash-back is likely the best, and most straightforward, value.

Bottom Line:

There are just a few weeks left to use the last Instacart credit, so here’s your reminder to use it!

Final Thoughts

Issuers regularly will add and retract benefits from their credit cards, so the end of this partnership isn’t too shocking. However, the Instacart credit is a great example of a perk to maximize before it’s too late — and it can easily be used up if you’re picking up groceries for the holiday weekend.
