IHG is continuing to grow in Southeast Asia, with the opening of a Moire Hoi An, Vignette Collection later this year. This new hotel will join IHG’s fast-growing Vietnam portfolio, which will more than double in the next 3 years.

Here’s what you need to know about this new IHG hotel.

New Vignette Collection Resort in Hoi An

Moire Hoi An, Vignette Collection, will join the IHG family this year. The resort, a conversion of an existing property, will have 128 guest rooms, some of which will be pool villas or suites.

Amenities will include 2 restaurants, a bar, a pool, a fitness center, a spa, meeting spaces, and access to activities and guided tours. Hoi An Ancient Town is just a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming guests to Moire Hoi An, Vignette Collection, which is located within a UNESCO Heritage Site, from where they can experience the architectural marvel of the ancient town’s cobblestone streets, well-preserved wooden structures and shophouses,” said Chris Anklin, senior director, development, IHG Hotels & Resorts

The hotel is a 30-minute drive from Danang International Airport (DAD), which serves airlines like EVA Air, Qatar Airways, and Singapore Airlines.

IHG pointed to Vietnam’s rapid growth in the tourism sector. “Tourism is picking up at a rapid rate in Hoi An, with 4.3 million visitors expected this year – a 10% rise from 2023,” said Anklin. It’s also easier than ever to visit Vietnam from the U.S. thanks to Vietnam Airlines’ nonstop route between San Francisco (SFO) and Ho Chi Minh City (SGN).

Booking IHG Hotels in Vietnam

IHG has a fast-growing hotel pipeline in Vietnam. The chain says it plans to increase the number of hotels in Vietnam from 18 to around 44 over the next 3 years.

For now, though, you have access to some of the best IHG hotels in the world in Vietnam. These include hotels such as the Six Senses Ninh Van Bay (from $700 per night in November) or the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort (from $500 or 100,000 points per night in November).

Luckily, it is pretty easy to earn IHG points. IHG has 3 co-branded credit cards — all of which come with big welcome bonuses once you meet a minimum spending requirement. You can also transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards or Bilt Rewards points to IHG at a 1:1 ratio.

Hot Tip:

Credit cards aren’t the only way to earn IHG points. You can also book restaurants through the IHG One Rewards Dining programhost a meeting or event, or purchase points.

Final Thoughts

Clearly, IHG sees Vietnam as an important tourism market. It makes sense, then, for IHG to debut one of its premier brands, the Vignette Collection, in the country. While we await the opening of Moire Hoi An, make sure to check out IHG’s other luxe resorts across Vietnam.
