The ultra-luxe Mondrian brand is debuting in Australia with the opening of the Mondrian Gold Coast, and we’re excited for this hotel’s opening. The posh property is now open for bookings for June 2025 and beyond.

The Mondrian Gold Coast will span 24 floors, encompassing 208 guest rooms, studios, suites, and homes along Burleigh Beach.

Amenities will include several dining outlets, a pool club, a wellness space, a spa, and an events space. The resort will be just a 15-minute drive to Gold Coast Airport (OOL).

The resort will open on June 5, 2025, and reservations are now available.

This will be Mondrian’s debut in Australia, though the brand says the Down Under has “long been a strategic focus” for its growth.

“Over the last couple of years, we have seen a rising demand for lifestyle brands, where locals and international guests are looking for authentic, creative and immersive experiences — all the hallmarks of the Mondrian brand,” said Chadi Farhat, Mondrian brand chief operations officer.

More major hotel chains are expanding across Australia’s Gold Coast. Hyatt is planning to open the Andaz Gold Coast to guests next year and will become the first of the brand in Australia. However, Hyatt noted that the location was significant: 4 million Australians visited the region in 2023. Other brands, like Marriott, also have resorts planned for the Gold Coast region.

How To Book

A hip brand in a hip area means a stay at the Mondrian Gold Coast aren’t cheap. On opening night (June 5, 2025), expect to pay AU$792.30, which is about $506 USD. A few months later, you can find midweek stays for around $498 per night. Note that these cheapest prices are prepaid, nonrefundable rates.
