The luxury Four Seasons brand has announced a new hotel in Suzhou, China, located west of the popular city of Shanghai.
Let’s take a look at the new hotel, which is currently under development!
Four Seasons Hotel Suzhou To Be Located on a Private Island
The Four Seasons Hotel Suzhou will be located on a private island connected by a private bridge, surrounded by Jinji Lake, a popular tourist destination. It will be located an hour’s drive or 30-minute train ride from nearby Shanghai.
The hotel will feature around 200 rooms, suites, private villas, and even a honeymoon suite for newlyweds. Guests will be treated to amenities such as indoor and outdoor pools, a gym, a spa, a ballroom for meetings and events, and space for children and pets.
A high-end Chinese dining option with 7 private rooms, an all-day restaurant, and a lobby bar and lounge are expected to complete the amenity space.
Four Seasons says the property will open in late 2023, but there’s no clear opening date just yet.
In a statement, a Four Seasons executive said China is “an important market” for the brand.
“Our upcoming Four Seasons Suzhou will be one of the most inspiring luxury hotels in Suzhou and the greater Yangtze River Delta region,” said Albert Lau, executive director of Sun Hung Kai Properties, said in a statement, “renewing a sense of glamour to this culturally rich destination, and providing an ideal choice for business executives, family holidaymakers and cultural travelers interested in exploring dynastic history and the area’s artistic heritage.”
Four Seasons, which opened its first hotel in 1961, is known as one of the most luxurious hotel brands in the world.
Its 124 properties can be found in nearly 50 countries in places like Anguilla, Jackson Hole, New York, and Paris. An additional 50 hotels are either in the planning phase or already under development, Four Seasons says.
Additionally, there are 7 Four Seasons properties located across China in cities such as Beijing, Hong Kong, and Shenzen.
