Update: The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

Usually once a year, most major cities will hold a restaurant week, showcasing major restaurants throughout the city where you can find great deals to experience the menu. Mastercard has partnered with NYC Restaurant Week to offer a $10 statement credit for every $45 you spend at one of the participating restaurants.

Mastercard’s NYC Restaurant Week Promo

Each restaurant participating in NYC Restaurant week offers a $30, $45, or $60 prix fixe meal. The price of your meal is dependent on the restaurant, when you go, and what meal you’re eating; be sure to call the restaurant ahead of time to confirm.

Mastercard is offering $10 back on every $45 you spend on an eligible Restaurant Week meal, up to 3 separate times. So, for example, if you spend $45 once and then come back a second time and spend $45, you’d receive a $20 credit, however, if you spent $90 in 1 meal, you’d only receive $10 back. If you’re going to a restaurant offering the $30 meals, consider taking another person with you so you can exceed the $45 minimum.

To enroll, you need to hold an eligible Mastercard. While the enrollment website doesn’t specify which specific Mastercard credit cards are eligible, it’s likely that any major branded Mastercard will be accepted. To enroll your card, check out the official enrollment page.

You can redeem the offer for any meal served Monday through Friday, however, Saturdays are exempt from the program, so you won’t receive any statement credit for meals eaten then. Sunday meals may be included, but it is up to the restaurant.

It’s worth noting that the prix fixe menu price doesn’t include beverages or tax and tip, so you’ll want to account for these on top of the menu price.

This offer expires July 31, 2022, so be sure to complete your visit prior to this date.

There are a few other things you should note about NYC Restaurant Week and the Mastercard offer:

  • While some meals include multiple courses, the meals are intended for 1 person, so if you come with 2 people, you’re expected not to share and will need to order 2 meals.
  • Some restaurants include a mandatory gratuity in the cost of the meal.
  • There’s a long list of eligible restaurants and which meals are included, so check out the options online.

Final Thoughts

Participating in NYC Restaurant Week is always a blast, regardless of if you’re a local or a tourist. Lots of restaurants participate, and you’re able to grab a nice meal for a decent price. If you have a Mastercard, you can save an easy $10 off of your meal (up to $30), which makes this a great offer if you are dining out in NYC.
