After several delays, the much-anticipated Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo Del Sol in Mexico is finally open.

This incredible-looking property is one of the hottest hotel openings of the year. It’s finally opened its doors and started offering guests a luxurious experience. Even better, the resort is available for bookings with cash or World of Hyatt points — and it’s a pretty solid deal.

Here’s what you need to know before the resort opens this summer.

First Park Hyatt in Mexico Is Now Open

The Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo Del Sol has 163 ocean-view guest rooms, suites, and villas.

While the hotel works on its finishing touches, such as the landscaping, it has some incredible amenities ready for its guests. Those include a whopping 5 pools, 5 dining options, a golf course, and meeting and event spaces. Additionally, the resort features 59,000 square feet of wellness spaces, including a spa, a fitness center with a yoga studio, and a nail salon.

The hotel is roughly a 40-minute drive from Los Cabos International Airport (SJD).

Bottom Line:

Hyatt had an exciting 2025 in Mexico. Aside from the Park Hyatt Los Cabos, the chain announced several other hotels opening in the country this year, including the Grand Hyatt Mexico City Santa Fe and Grand Hyatt Cancun Beach Resort.

Booking the Park Hyatt Los Cabos

The Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo Del Sol is now open for guests. We recommend you snap up reservations now before rooms are full, which can happen easily at a popular property.

A Category 8 hotel — World of Hyatt‘s highest category — the Park Hyatt Los Cabos joins an exclusive club of Hyatt’s top-tier properties. These include some of the best Hyatt has to offer, such as Alila Napa Valley, Alila Ventana Big Sur, Park Hyatt New York, and Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme. And the Park Hyatt Los Cabos is in its own lane, becoming the first Category 8 property in Mexico.

Rates start at 35,000 points per night (off-peak) and go up to 45,000 points per night on peak nights. Cash bookings are available, but with rates starting at more than $700 per night, we recommend using World of Hyatt points.

For a major loyalty program, Hyatt points aren’t that easy to earn. However, they’re extremely valuable: worth 1.5 cents per point in our valuations.

You have several options if you need to top up your balance before booking a stay here. The easiest way to earn World of Hyatt points is through welcome bonuses and spending on either of the Hyatt co-branded credit cards. If you have a credit card that earns Chase Ultimate Rewards or Bilt Rewards, you can transfer these points to Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio.

Final Thoughts

One of the most anticipated hotels of 2025 is now open, and it’s available for World of Hyatt bookings using points. Even though the Park Hyatt Los Cabos is a Category 8 property, off-peak nights mean you can score this resort at a massive steal.

Given how popular the resort will be, we recommend booking your stay early — or being flexible for a last-minute stay if award nights become available.
