Radisson has opened a swanky new Radisson RED in the bustling city of Kraków — and it is a steal if paying cash.

Let’s take a look at Radisson’s newest hotel in Poland.

Radisson RED Debuts in Kraków

Radisson RED Hotel & Radisson RED Apartments Krakow has 229 guest rooms and suites plus 46 extended-stay apartments. Some of the apartments have their own private terraces, while larger apartments have separate living rooms and bedrooms, as well as private kitchenettes.

Amenities include meeting spaces, an authentic Italian restaurant, a fitness center, and charging stations for electric vehicles and bikes.

The hotel is steps from at least 4 tram stops. It is close to the University of Economics and tourist attractions like the St. Mary’s Basilica and Wawel Castle.

Radisson says switching between business and pleasure at the Radisson Red Kraków is “effortless,” a sign that the hotel will appeal to business and leisure travelers.

“We’re proud to host our guests in Radisson RED style ‘guarded’ by the legendary Dragon of Wawel Hill, merging the history of the city with the playfulness of the Radisson RED brand for a hugely enjoyable stay,” said General Manager Alicja Zaliwska.

Bottom Line:

Radisson has 2 other properties in Poland’s second-largest city. The Radisson RED will join the Radisson Blu Hotel, Kraków and Park Inn by Radisson Kraków. However, the new Radisson RED is a notable improvement, as it’s far more luxe than the brand’s existing properties in Kraków.

Booking the Radisson RED Kraków

The Radisson RED Kraków is now open for guests.

Radisson hotels in Europe (particularly Eastern Europe) are usually dirt cheap, and this hotel is no different. We’re seeing rates from $71 per night this fall and winter, which is a great deal for any hotel.

If you’d like to book using Radisson Rewards points, you can apply points at checkout by choosing Redeem my points when it’s time to pay. However, you can’t go wrong booking with cash, given the low prices.

Radisson Rewards is made up of more than 1,600 hotels in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific. (The U.S. version, Radisson Rewards America, was merged into Choice Privileges in 2023. Those hotels can be booked with Choice Privileges points).

Radisson Rewards has just 3 status tiers: Club (which you earn upon enrollment), Premium (5 elite nights or 3 stays), and VIP (30 elite nights or 20 stays).

The higher your status with the program, the greater your benefits are. For instance, VIP members earn a whopping 36x points per $1 on all Radisson stays, plus free breakfast and complimentary upgrades. Given that elite status can be earned after just 5 nights (a rarity among hotel programs), going for Radisson status makes a ton of sense if you travel frequently in the EMEA region.

Final Thoughts

The Radisson RED will be a welcome addition to Kraków. That’s because it offers both standard rooms (perfect for shorter stays) and apartment-style rooms, which will be a boon for extended-stay travelers. And with rates starting at less than $100 per night, this is a perfect option for earning Radisson status cheaply!
