Book Viator Experiences With 22X Rewards Today

Viator offers more than 100,000 experiences across 2,500+ destinations worldwide, ranging from city tours and food experiences to day trips and cultural activities. With Rakuten’s current bonus, you can earn 22% cash-back — or convert those earnings into American Express Membership Rewards or Bilt Rewards points, depending on how your account is set up.

To put that into perspective, a $200 Viator booking booked today would earn 4,400 Amex or Bilt points, which is an excellent return for something you may have already planned to book anyway.

Personally, I just did exactly this. I had already booked a Viator tour with a flexible cancellation policy, so I canceled and rebooked through Rakuten today to secure the 22x return. It took only a few minutes and turned a routine tour booking into a solid points haul with no downside, since most Viator experiences allow free cancellation up to a certain date.

Note, however, that certain purchases don’t qualify, including theme park tickets, virtual tours, gift cards, and bookings made through travel agents. Purchases must also be completed directly on Viator’s website (app bookings won’t qualify).

Hot Tip:

Most Viator experiences come with free cancellation. Even if your plans aren’t solidified, you can lock in the 22x earning rate today and cancel later if needed — a low-risk way to earn a nice chunk of points.

Final Thoughts

Today’s 22x earning rate on Viator — available for today only — is one of those portal bonuses that’s genuinely worth paying attention to. Opportunities to earn this many points or rewards on travel experiences don’t come around often, especially for bookings you may already be planning to make.
