Hyatt has announced plans for a new all-inclusive resort in Mexico that’s scheduled to open by the end of 2023: Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres.

This new luxury resort, located just 12 miles north of Cancún, will be part of Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection, signaling the chain’s continued expansion into all-inclusive resorts.

Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres Opening in 2023

Hyatt has made big moves in the world of all-inclusive resorts in recent years, beginning with the acquisition of Apple Leisure Group in 2021. Since then, Hyatt has added multiple resorts in the Caribbean and announced plans for all-inclusive resorts in Europe with the additions of Dreams Madeira Resort Spa & Marina in Portugal and Zoëtry Halkidiki in Greece.

Now, Hyatt is turning its focus back to Mexico with the announcement of Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres, slated to open later in 2023.

“Demand for luxury, all-inclusive experiences in Mexico from guests, members, customers, and owners remains high,” said Javier Coll, Group President of Global Business Development & Innovation, Inclusive Collection, Hyatt.

This 509-suite resort will be designed with natural elements and top-notch amenities. Each room will feature handmade local art and will make use of locally-sourced materials. Preferred Club accommodations will be the most luxurious, offering access to the Preferred Club Lounge, an oceanfront club, and pool.

There will be 9 dining options and 7 bars, serving gourmet meals and top-shelf drinks. Culinary activities include kitchen tours, cooking classes, and tequila tastings.

The resort’s 4 swimming pools include 2 ocean-facing infinity pools, and guests can also indulge in the Secrets Spa by Pevonia. For couples looking for a destination wedding, various locations on the property will be able to accommodate up to 400 guests.

How To Book Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres With Hyatt Points

We don’t know what category Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres will be assigned to yet, but we can guess it will be on the higher end.

Hyatt has a separate award chart for all-inclusive resorts with standard pricing ranging from 15,000 to 50,000 points per night for 1 person. To add an extra person, standard rates range from 7,500 to 25,000 points per night.

Bottom Line:

We don’t know yet how many points Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres will cost per night, but it will fall somewhere between 15,000 to 50,000 points per night for a standard redemption for 1 person. Thankfully, there are lots of ways to earn Hyatt points, so you can start stocking up now to ensure you’ll be ready to book when this resort opens later in 2023.

Final Thoughts

A new Hyatt all-inclusive resort will debut in Mexico later in 2023. Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres will offer luxury accommodations in an oceanfront setting, just north of Cancún. We’ll be sure to update this story when we learn more information about this upcoming resort.
