Among the benefits JetBlue offers to its Mosaic elite members is Move to Mint, a benefit you can use to upgrade yourself to the airline’s famed business class product. And we’ve got good news: Using these is now easier than ever.

The number of certificates needed for an upgrade varies by flight, and you can now find this information before booking. Better yet: It’s all online.

Here’s the latest development on using your Move to Mint certificates.

Using JetBlue Move to Mint Certificates Is Now Easier

The number of Move to Mint certificates needed for an upgrade with JetBlue varies. While you might need just 1 for a particular flight (rare, but possible), another flight may require 3 or 4 upgrade awards.

Previously, the only way to find out how many upgrade certificates you might need on a particular flight came from purchasing the ticket and then trying to upgrade using the awards in your TrueBlue account. Strike out? Cancel the flight and look for a new one.

Earlier this year, JetBlue phone reservation agents gained access to this information. That meant you could call and inquire about a flight you wanted to book, asking how many upgrade certificates were needed. That has obvious drawbacks, not to mention, potential hold times.

Now, we’ve come to the good part: You can finally find all of this information online — even before buying a ticket. And it’s visible whether you’re paying cash or booking with points.

If you have Mosaic elite status with JetBlue, you’ll receive Move to Mint certificates when reaching Mosaic 3 and more of these awards when qualifying for Mosaic 4 (the top tier). If you’re in that boat, you can now see the number of certificates required for a particular flight by opening up the flight details, shown in the fine print.

How To Earn JetBlue Move to Mint Certificates

To earn elite status with JetBlue, you need to earn tiles. Among the other benefits bestowed on Mosaic members, you’ll earn Move to Mint upgrade certificates when reaching Mosaic 3 and Mosaic 4. At Mosaic 3, you’ll receive 4 upgrade certificates, and you’ll receive 2 more Move to Mint awards when reaching Mosaic 4.

Final Thoughts

If you don’t have Mosaic status, you won’t see this information when searching for flights since you don’t have these upgrade awards. For Mosaic 3 and Mosaic 4 members, however, finding the number of upgrades you need for a flight is much simpler now. You can see this information online in advance; you no longer have to book a ticket and cross your fingers.
