London is getting a new luxury hotel. IHG’s high-end Six Senses brand has debuted in the U.K. with the opening of the Six Senses London inside a former department store.

Here’s what to know about this new luxury hotel and how you can book it for yourself.

Six Senses London Is Now Open

Six Senses, a luxurious brand in the IHG Hotels & Resorts portfolio, has opened its doors in London. Six Senses London can be found in the space of the former Whiteley’s department store in the new Whiteley development, conveniently located near Hyde Park and the quintessential Notting Hill neighborhood.

EPR Architects and AvroKO collaborated to create the property’s 109 guest rooms and suites, as well as 14 branded residences. Despite its urban location, Six Senses London still leans into the brand’s focus on sustainability and connection with nature, boasting elements such as green roofs and “seasonal perennial planting to attract pollinators and weave nature into the city’s fabric.”

The new property features an on-site restaurant, Whiteley’s Kitchen, Bar and Café, offering “modern British” dining in a space designed to become a destination for neighborhood locals and hotel guests alike.

Elsewhere, the hotel boasts an almost 25,000-square-foot state-of-the-art spa featuring the city’s first magnesium pool, a 20-meter indoor swimming pool, cryotherapy, flotation and recovery spaces, a “longevity clinic,” and more.

Finally, the hotel is home to a new concept for Six Senses: Six Senses Place, a private members club that promotes “reconnection, community, and high-tech wellness.”

How To Book the Six Senses London

Six Senses London participates in the IHG One Rewards program, meaning members can earn and redeem IHG points for stays.

With Six Senses being one of IHG’s most luxurious brands (if not the most), you can expect to pay up to stay at this new property. If you’re looking to redeem IHG One Rewards points, you can expect to pay at least 169,000 points per night, though rates are consistently higher than that.

Fortunately, it’s fairly easy to earn IHG One Rewards points, as the program is a 1:1 transfer partner of Bilt Rewards and Chase Ultimate Rewards. Alternatively, you can apply for one of IHG’s co-branded credit cards, two of which typically have fantastic offers.

The IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card, which has a $99 annual fee, also has a current offer of: Earn 140,000 Bonus Points after spending $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.

If you’re looking for an option with a $0 annual fee, the IHG One Rewards Traveler Credit Card features this current offer: Earn 80,000 points after spending $2,000 within the first 3 months of account opening.

On the other hand, if you’d prefer to pay cash at this property, expect to pay at least $930 per night, though rates are consistently above $1,000 per night throughout the rest of the current booking schedule.

Final Thoughts

The Six Senses London is now open. This property marks the brand’s U.K. debut and is its third urban property, following openings in Rome and Kyoto. IHG says we can expect more urban openings to come for the Six Senses brand, and if the standard set at the London property is any indication, there’s a lot to look forward to.
