Most notable are the new services from Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI) to Sacramento International Airport (SMF) and Norman Y. As the remaining 6 routes are already operated by other airlines, Spirit’s low-cost fares will mean more choices for passengers when deciding which airline to book.

Tickets for each of the new routes are on sale now on the airline’s website.

Hot Tip:

Despite being a low-cost airline, Spirit gives its flyers the option to earn and spend points through its Free Spirit frequent flyer program. Additionally, you can maximize your points earning with the Free Spirit® Travel More World Elite Mastercard®, which earns 3x points per $1 spent on Spirit flights.

Final Thoughts

Spirit’s 8 new routes have been announced just in time for the busy summer travel season, which is just around the corner.

Whether it’s the beaches of California, a city break in the Midwest, or a few days in the Big Apple, Spirit’s got you covered.
