Marriott International inked a deal to bring a St. Regis resort to the increasingly popular Costa Mujeres, near Cancún, Mexico, back in late 2022. Originally, the property was supposed to open in 2025.

While it’s behind schedule, there’s now an exciting update: The hotel is accepting reservations for a late-June opening this summer.

The St. Regis Costa Mujeres Resort To Open in 2025

Located just over a half hour north of Cancún, Costa Mujeres is quickly becoming a hot destination on Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula.

This summer, Marriott will plant its luxury flag permanently in the area with the opening of The St. Regis Costa Mujeres Resort.

The St. Regis resort will be set on an idyllic, almost-9-acre beachfront site, providing guests with stunning views and easy access to beautiful beaches and to Isla Mujeres, an island that’s been drawing visitors for years.

The resort itself boasts 158 guest rooms and 80 branded residential units, offering views of Isla Mujeres, the ocean, and the city of Cancún.

Along with The St. Regis Bar, the resort offers 4 on-site dining options. Shami offers Japanese fare and shared plates, Palmare Grill offers seafood and Mexican street food, Fish Market offers Caribbean seafood, and Costa Coral offers Mexican food.

Amenities include a fitness center, an adults-only swimming pool, a kid-friendly pool, and a whirlpool.

There’s also a spa, 2 event rooms, and nearly 7,300 square feet of meeting space.

How To Book

The St. Regis Costa Mujeres Resort is accepting reservations starting on June 25, 2026.

Rates during the first few months start at $662 per night, but the nightly price climbs to nearly $750 in November and December.

For guests using Marriott Bonvoy points, nights in much of August and September are available for 100,000 points, while rates from June to August are much higher than that.

Redeeming 100,000 points to save $662 isn’t the great value for your points, fetching a value of just 0.66 cents per point. In contrast, we value Marriott points at 0.7 cents each.

Marriott sees a bright future for the St. Regis brand in Mexico, and a delayed project is set to open soon in the trendy Costa Mujeres area. The property is now accepting reservations for stays with a check-in date on or after June 25. Bookings are open for both paid stays and award redemptions.
