Capital One and T-Mobile have partnered to launch a new credit card: the T-Mobile Visa.

The co-branded card is available only to existing T-Mobile customers and is designed to integrate directly with the carrier’s services — but its biggest draw might be tied to a perk that T-Mobile quietly took away earlier this year.

Here’s what you need to know about Capital One and T-Mobile’s first joint credit card.

What the New T-Mobile Visa Card Offers

The new T-Mobile Visa card earns 2% back in T-Mobile Rewards on everyday purchases and 5% back on phones, devices, or accessories purchased directly from T-Mobile — all with no annual fee. Rewards can be redeemed toward new devices, accessories, or even to pay down your T-Mobile bill.

The standout perk, however, is the return of AutoPay discounts for those who pay with a credit card. Earlier this year, T-Mobile removed the popular $5-per-line AutoPay discount for customers who used credit cards, limiting it to those who paid via debit card or bank account transfers.

With the new T-Mobile Visa card, eligible customers can once again save $5 per line (up to 8 lines) on their wireless bill when using the card for AutoPay on qualifying plans — effectively restoring that lost discount for credit card users.

Other benefits include:

  • Up to 50% off select hotels and 45% off Pay Now rental cars booked through T-Mobile Travel
  • A limited-time 25¢ per gallon discount (up to 20 gallons) on fuel at Shell on Tuesdays through December 23, 2025

Applications are now open via the T-Life app, through Capital One, or at T-Mobile retail locations starting November 10, 2025.

Hot Tip:

This new T-Mobile Visa card basically functions like a 2% cash-back card, except you’re earning T-Mobile Rewards instead of cash. Those rewards can be applied toward a new phone, accessories, or even your monthly bill, which is particularly beneficial if you’re deeply entrenched in the T-Mobile ecosystem. But if you’re hoping to rack up travel rewards, you’re better off sticking with a travel card instead.

Final Thoughts

The T-Mobile Visa card isn’t meant to replace a strong travel or cash-back card, but it could make sense as a niche add-on for loyal T-Mobile customers. If you’re already paying a wireless bill every month, earning 2% back and getting the AutoPay discount again can add up over time. It’s a practical, low-maintenance way to save a little extra, but it’s certainly not a substitute for a true rewards credit card.
