There’s some exciting news from Marriott this morning. The first Tribute Portfolio property in the Middle East has debuted in Dubai — and it is stunning.

Let’s dive right in!

Marriott’s Newest Dubai Hotel

The First Collection at Jumeirah Village Circle, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, has a whopping 491 rooms and 26 suites. The most exclusive, the TFC Horizon Suite, has its own private plunge pool and terrace.

Amenities include a swimming pool, private beach access with a beach club, a spa, a fitness center, and shuttles to the Mall of the Emirates and Dubai Mall. The hotel also has 2 restaurants, plus a bakery and pool bar.

The hotel is approximately 35 minutes from Dubai International Airport (DXB) by car or 90 minutes via transit.

“Launching the first Tribute Portfolio Hotel in the Middle East in this dynamic destination is a landmark moment for this growing brand,” said Sandra Schulze-Potgieter, Vice President of Premium & Select Brands for the EMEA region at Marriott.

“The First Collection at Jumeirah Village Circle hotel exemplifies the Tribute Portfolio brand focus on exceptional design and sincere service, offering guests unparalleled experiences that resonate with the vibrant spirit of Dubai.”

Bottom Line:

Originally a Starwood Hotels and Resorts brand (which was then acquired by Marriott), Tribute Portfolio launched in 2015. Since then, the brand has been known for its upscale, unique hotels. Today, you’ll find nearly 120 Tribute Portfolio hotels in more than 25 countries as the brand continues to grow.

Booking The First Collection at Jumeirah Village Circle

The First Collection at Jumeirah Village Circle is now open for guests. It is part of the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program, which means you can earn and redeem points here.

Hotels in Dubai — even luxury ones — typically fall on the lower price scale. Here is no exception, with standard rooms starting as low as $95 for dates in the early fall.

Unfortunately, we don’t see any availability with Marriott Bonvoy points in 2024, but if that changes, we’ll be sure to update this story.

Marriott Bonvoy points are some of the easiest points currencies you can earn. That’s because you can transfer American Express Membership Rewards and Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Marriott at a 1:1 ratio.

You can also open one of the best Marriott Bonvoy credit cards, which come with fantastic welcome bonus offers and elite status.

Final Thoughts

There’s no shortage of luxe hotels in Dubai. Still, an affordable boutique hotel is always a welcome addition. With affordable cash rates, The First Collection will surely be popular with Marriott Bonvoy fans!
