Hilton has officially inked a deal for the Tru by Hilton Bariloche in Patagonia, Argentina, slated for opening in 2027.

Here’s what you need to know about the hotel.

New Tru by Hilton Location in Patagonia by 2027

The 130-room Tru by Hilton Bariloche will be located near popular attractions such as Nahuel Huapi Lake in the village of San Carlos de Bariloche. Amenities will include complimentary breakfast, spaces for work and play, and a fitness center.

This is Hilton’s debut of Tru by Hilton in Argentina. The brand, which launched in 2016, falls under Hilton’s “Elevated Essentials” umbrella and is known for offering a daily free pancake breakfast.

“Tru by Hilton’s cross-generational appeal and its ability to deliver a consistent, fun experience at an affordable price to global travelers makes it ideal for owners and developers in highly desired destinations.”

Pablo Maturana, vice president of development, Caribbean and Latin America, Hilton

Tru by Hilton has over 250 hotels open and nearly 300 in the pipeline, including 20 in the Caribbean and Latin America. Future locations in the region include Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico.

Hilton has 10 hotels in Argentina, ranging from budget-friendly to high-end.

These include hotels such as the Hualta Hotel Mendoza, Curio Collection by Hilton — perhaps the best Hilton property in the country — which starts at 60,000 Hilton Honors points (or $390) per night in May 2024.

It’s pretty easy to earn Hilton Honors points even if you aren’t a status holder or aren’t loyal to the chain. The Amex Hilton credit cards come with generous welcome offers and elite status. Other ways to earn points include transferring points from American Express, taking a Lyft ride, or dining out through Hilton Honors Dining.

Final Thoughts

Travelers looking for a budget-friendly hotel option in the Patagonia region will soon have one — thanks to Tru by Hilton Bariloche, which will open in 2027. While we don’t have many details about the property, check out Hilton’s other hotels in Arengtina if you plan to visit soon!
