Apple TV+ has been on a roll lately, churning out excellent show after excellent show, many of which have become cultural phenomena in their own right.

Now, thanks to a new partnership, you can watch some of the platform’s greatest hits for free on your next United flight.

“Apple creates groundbreaking original series, and United travelers are going to love watching fan-favorite Apple Originals for free on their next flight,” said Mark Muren, United’s managing director of product, identity, and loyalty.

Here’s everything you need to know about this exciting new development!

Watch Apple TV+ for Free on United Flights

TV lovers: You’ll probably want to book your next flight with United. The airline announced today, August 12, 2025, that it has partnered with Apple TV+ to offer full seasons of some of the platform’s most celebrated shows directly through its inflight entertainment system.

Whether you watch on one of the airline’s more than 130,000 seatback screens or via the United mobile app (iOS, Android), you can now enjoy full seasons of popular (and award-winning) shows, such as Severance, Shrinking, Ted Lasso, Slow Horses, Silo, and more.

The Morning Show and Bad Sisters will be added in September, and more shows will join each month. Apple TV+ content is available through a dedicated Apple TV+ channel within the IFE’s interface.

United’s partnership with Apple TV+ is the latest step the carrier is taking to push the envelope regarding inflight entertainment. United added Spotify content recently, and it’s working to install screens at every seat fleetwide. The carrier also showed off the latest generation of aircraft interior, boasting large OLED screens with 4K resolution and Bluetooth connectivity at every seat. The airline is also rolling out Starlink Wi-Fi connectivity across much of its fleet.

This also represents the latest in a deepening relationship between United and Apple. The 2 companies have worked for deeper integration between Apple products and United services. United was the first carrier to integrate “Live Activities” for iPhone users, allowing flyers to get live and personalized flight notifications directly on their phone’s lock screen. A similar functionality exists for Apple Watch.

Hot Tip:

United is one of the airlines that uses Apple’s Find My item locations to help passengers work with customer service agents to track down missing luggage or other items more quickly.

Final Thoughts

Everyone loves a good TV binge — and what better place to do so than an airplane, where you have nowhere else to go and not much else to do?

United is making it easier to watch some of TV’s best titles, thanks to a new partnership with Apple TV+ — and it’s all free for flyers. Don’t forget to pack your headphones!
