United is offering a 10% discount on flights within the contiguous U.S. to select MileagePlus members. This is a targeted promotion, so not everyone will be valid, but if you are, it can provide significant savings on flights.

Eligibility

Only select MileagePlus members will be targeted. To see if you were targeted, log in to your MileagePlus account and search for a flight. Use the promotion code TAKEOFF10 when searching.

If the discounted rate does not appear, you are not eligible. It is very likely this is only targeted to a small group of customers, so expect it not to work in the vast majority of cases.

There are several rules for this sale:

This is only valid on the United website, and not through the reservations phone number or an airport agent. You must book your entire journey online.
This is only valid for flights within the contiguous U.S.
You need to book by July 24, 2023, for travel from June 26, 2023, through September 26, 2023.
The discount may apply to a one-way fare or round-trip fare, depending on availability. It will not apply to government taxes or fees.
The discount is offered only on United-operated flights.
Minimum or maximum stay requirements, as well as stopovers, are all dependent on the routing rules of the original ticket that you purchase.

Hot Tip:

You can only use the promotion code once per account, but the 1 time you use it, you can have up to 9 passengers in your itinerary, so it pays to use it on a larger group booking.
