Universal Kids Resort: Opening Date, Tickets, Hotel, and What’s Inside

Universal Kids Resort has announced that its brand-new, 20-acre theme park in Frisco, Texas, will open on July 1, 2026, and tickets and packages are officially on sale.

This will be Universal’s first theme park specifically designed for families with young children. Universal Kids Resort will feature 7 themed lands from popular franchises, 11 restaurants, and an on-site hotel with 300 rooms.

Unlike the full-scale Universal parks in Orlando and Hollywood, this is a destination built to be accessible from home for those in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area and surrounding region, giving families some theme park fun without requiring a cross-country trip.

Tickets on sale now include 1-Day and 2-Day General Admission tickets starting at $54.99 per person, plus tax.

There are also vacation packages available that include a special 1.5-day park ticket, a hotel stay, and Early Park Admission 1 hour before the park opens. Annual passes are also now available for $129.99 per person, plus tax, for 12 months of access — or $164.99 with parking included.

Separately, Universal Kids Resort Hotel rooms can be booked starting at around $300 per night.

Guests can choose between Standard, Deluxe, Signature Rooms, and Suites. They all feature bunk beds, which will be a guaranteed hit with the kids.

What’s Inside Universal Kids Resort?

Universal Kids Resort will feature 7 themed lands from popular franchises, anchored by a resort hotel — a similar hub-and-spoke model to Universal Epic Universe in Orlando, Florida.

The 7 lands include:

  • DreamWorks’ Puss in Boots Del Mar
  • DreamWorks’ Shrek’s Swamp
  • DreamWorks’ TrollsFest
  • Illumination’s Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club
  • Isle of Curiosity featuring DreamWorks’ Gabby’s Dollhouse
  • Jurassic World Adventure Camp
  • Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom

These are some of Universal’s most popular offerings, and this park will give young fans a new way to interact and bring their favorite characters to life.
