Universal Orlando Resort is running a promotion that allows you to purchase a 3-day ticket and get 2 additional days free. This is a fantastic offer for saving money at the Florida resort, as tickets to Universal can be pricey.

The Offer

This offer runs through February 2024, though it has blackout dates between Christmas and New Year’s. If you want to visit at that super-popular time of year, this offer won’t be of any help to you.

Here’s how the offer works:

  • Purchase a 3-day park ticket with access to 2 parks. You can upgrade to Universal Volcano Bay Water Theme Park in addition to park access for an additional $35, but the base ticket must include 2-park access for 3 days.
  • Once you do that, you’ll receive 2 extra days of 2-park access for free. All 5 days (the 3 you purchase and the 2 free days) must be used within a total span of 8 days. You don’t have a ton of time to spread it out, though you can still have a nice weeklong trip with a few days of relaxation in between park days.
  • The cost of the 3-day, 2-park ticket depends on the day. Universal Orlando Resort, like Walt Disney World Resort, uses a dynamic pricing system, so peak days are more expensive than off-peak days. This may help you decide when to visit, though in general, there’s not much difference in pricing between peak and off-peak.
  • There may be additional blackout dates for season ticketholders, as well as Power and Preferred passholders.
  • The cheapest set of tickets for an adult is $335.99, and the cheapest for a child is $325.99, with access to Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure.

It’s quite easy to save a couple hundred dollars with this offer, though it’s worth noting that Universal really only has 2 theme parks and 1 water park to visit. That’s unlike Disney, where there are 4 theme parks and 2 water parks. You may run out of things to do in 5 days at Universal, though many people may find the time valuable as you can repeat rides or explore additional areas of the parks.

When making your purchase, make sure to use one of our recommended best cards for Universal vacations.

Hot Tip:

This offer is availability-dependent, so if you’re interested, you’ll want to jump on it sooner rather than later!

Final Thoughts

If you’re looking to escape the cold this winter and visit sunny Florida, consider using this Universal Orlando Resort offer to receive free 2-day tickets when you purchase a 3-day, 2-park ticket. This can add a few more days to your visit for cheap!
