If you’ve ever been considering a visit to Machu Picchu — one of the new 7 wonders of the world — then now could be the time to make it happen.

Round-trip fares from Los Angeles (LAX) to Cusco (CUZ), the closest airport to Machu Picchu, in business class are coming in from just $1,592. That’s over $1,000 cheaper than usual!

Here are the details.

Fare Deal — Details

It’s not just the price that’s great about this deal.

Sometimes the cheapest routings to Cusco include more than 1 layover, but this itinerary just has 1 short stop in Lima (LIM), Peru’s capital city.

Depending on which flight times work best for you, the long flight from LA to Peru will be on LATAM’s 787 Dreamliner aircraft which are proven to have reduced negative effects of flying on the body compared to other aircraft.

However, rest assured that whichever of LATAM’s aircraft you’d be flying, you’ll be happy to know that you’ll get to enjoy a lie-flat seat.

From Lima, it’s just a short onward hop to Cusco:

  • Class: Business Class
  • Routes: Los Angeles (LAX) to Cusco (CUZ) via Lima (LIM)
  • Dates: August through October 2023
  • Rates: From $1,592 return

The cheapest fares remain the same throughout the period from August through to the end of October.

Here’s an example of a possible trip leaving in August:

And here’s a trip for the same price but leaving in September:

Best Ways To Book

The best way to secure a LATAM flight ticket when not using LATAM Pass miles is with one of the many credit cards that will reward you for doing exactly that.

For example, the LATAM Airlines World Elite Mastercard will earn you 4x miles per dollar spent on LATAM purchases. So, for this particular flight, you’d be looking at somewhere in the region of earning 6,000 miles!

Hot Tip: Booking through an online travel agency (OTA) such as Kayak or Expedia can potentially save you a few dollars, which can seem all too appealing at the time of booking. However, it’s worth remembering that if you need to make changes or cancellations, the headache that can often come with dealing with an OTA can make that money you saved seem insignificant.

Final Thoughts

It’s rare to find long haul business class fares as low as this, especially when it is to as niche a destination as Machu Picchu.

What are you waiting for?
