IHG is bringing its luxe Vignette Collection brand to Hungary for the first time with the opening of the Verno House Budapest, Vignette Collection.

Here’s what you need to know about this new IHG hotel.

IHG Debuts Luxury Brand in Budapest

A true boutique hotel, Verno House Budapest, Vignette Collection has just 48 guest rooms and suites.

The hotel is home to Flava Kitchen & More, a Michelin Guide-recommended restaurant serving North African, Latin American, and Middle Eastern cuisines. Additional hotel amenities include a spa, a gym, and a pool.

“The team has worked hard to ensure that the experience available to guests is true to our heritage, offering a haven of tranquillity to those who wish to explore what our capital has to offer,” said General Manager Tamás Nehéz. “Now part of Vignette Collection, Verno House is looking forward to inviting our first guests and offering meaningful and memorable stays in this one-of-a-kind hotel.”

Vignette Collection is IHG’s first collection brand, which offers a handpicked selection of boutique hotels in urban and resort locations. The brand’s first hotel opened in 2021, and it has quickly established itself as one of the better collections in IHG’s portfolio.

Bottom Line:

Vignette Collection has a dozen hotels open worldwide in places like Dubai, Lisbon, and Washington, D.C. Additionally, IHG plans to open another 100 hotels worldwide in the next decade.

How to Book Verno House Budapest, Vignette Collection

Verno House Budapest has recently opened for guests. One thing we love about IHG hotels in Europe is how affordable they are. That’s true whether you’re paying cash or redeeming IHG One Rewards points.

Cash rates are reasonably priced, with standard rooms starting around $220 per night this fall. But given how low award redemptions are here, we suggest saving your cash and using points.

The cheapest dates we see this fall start at just 37,000 points per night for a deluxe room that sleeps 2. (If you’re running low on points, you can pay with a combination of Points & Cash.)

Luckily, it’s easy to earn IHG points — even if you don’t frequent the chain. You can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards and Bilt Rewards to IHG or open an IHG credit card. Each co-branded card comes with a welcome bonus after you meet a minimum spending requirement and pay an annual fee.

Final Thoughts

At first glance, the Verno House Budapest is pretty impressive. But once you peel back the layers, this hotel is an absolute steal. Given all its perks — a prime location, a Michelin-recommended restaurant, and cheap points rates — this hotel is one of Budapest’s best options for IHG fans!
