Update:The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

Virgin Atlantic is offering another sale through which you can book an award flight and save 20% off the number of Virgin Points required between January 19, 2024, and January 31, 2024.

This means you can fly to London (LHR) from New York (JFK) for 8,000 miles, from Tampa (TPA) for 10,000 miles, or even Las Vegas (LAS) for 12,000 miles!

There are a few restrictions to be aware of, which we’ll detail below. However, you’ll want to book soon, as this offer is only available for a limited time.

Let’s take a look at the sale and see whether it makes sense for you.

Virgin Atlantic Flying Club 20% Off Promo Details

This latest Virgin Atlantic promotion is pretty straightforward and quite generous. The most important things you should note are the booking and travel windows that are eligible for the 20% discount.

This sale applies on all Virgin Atlantic flights booked with points, and all classes of service are eligible for the discount. If you want to take advantage of this offer, here’s what you need to know (full terms):

  • Book between January 19, 2024, and January 31, 2024
  • Travel between January 20, 2024, and December 31, 2024
  • This discount cannot be combined with any other Virgin Atlantic promotion
  • Valid only on Virgin Atlantic-marketed and -operated routes (partner airline redemptions do not qualify)
  • Taxes and fees still apply
  • One-way and round-trip tickets are both eligible for the discount

And if you wanted to fly in Virgin’s premium economy cabin, you could book the same flight as above for just 14,000 points and (steep) taxes and fees totaling $452, one-way. Upper Class, Virgin’s business class product, is available for just 38,000 points one-way, though taxes are very steep at $982.

Even better, these prices are also available on round-trip tickets, and award availability is wide open. Check out what we saw when we searched for a round-trip flight from New York to London.

How To Book

First, you’ll want to check for award seats by heading to the Virgin Atlantic website. Then, choose your destination and travel dates.

Then select “Show Price in Points” under the “Advanced Search” tab and select which cabin you’d like to search for.

Click the arrow and browse the reward seats available at the 20% discounted points price.

Hot Tip: If you don’t have any Virgin Points or need to top off your account, you’re in luck. Virgin Atlantic is a transfer partner with all 6 of the major transferable currencies: Chase Ultimate Rewards, Capital One Miles, American Express Membership Rewards, Marriott Bonvoy, Bilt Rewards, and Citi ThankYou Rewards!

Final Thoughts

If you were planning on booking a Virgin Atlantic award flight, this is a great opportunity to save some points.
