IHG Opens New voco Hotel In Osaka, Japan [Rooms & Amenities]

IHG is continuing its Japan expansion with the exciting opening of a new voco hotel in Osaka.

voco Osaka Central Now Open For Guests

The voco Osaka Central has nearly 200 guest rooms and suites, all boasting Western and Japanese features, including traditional Japanese sitting areas.

The hotel has a signature restaurant, Lokal House, which serves Japanese cuisine with Western influence. Other amenities include a bar, cafe, 24-hour gym, fitness room, and meeting and evening spaces.

 “The opening of voco Osaka Central marks a bold new era of premium hotel experiences in Japan,” said Abhijay Sandilya, CEO of IHG ANA Hotels Group.

Sandilya also highlighted IHG’s rapid expansion in Japan. IHG has nearly 4 dozen hotels open in Japan, with another 8 in development. And this hasn’t been IHG’s only recent move in Japan. Just last week, IHG announced the opening of its fifth Hotel Indigo property in the country, Hotel Indigo Nagasaki Glover Street, scheduled to open for guests next year.

voco is one of IHG’s newest brands and falls under the chain’s premium umbrella, which includes some well-known names such as Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts and EVEN Hotels. Today, voco has 46 open hotels worldwide, with another 50 in the pipeline.
